Kinnear Will Give Hughton Input While Away

We thought it might be difficult to keep a guy like Joe Kinnear, recovering from his surgery, without doing anything at Newcastle.

Chris Hughton – phone calls from Joe
But Chris Hughton has said today he thinks Joe will be on the hone with him quite a bit to ensure things are going well at the club during his recuperation.

In fact Chris Hughton expects to hear from the Newcastle manager in the hours after his triple heart bypass surgery today.

We’d all like to hear that things have gone well today.

Chris said today:

“I’d imagine at the first available time he’ll be ringing up and, of course, as we go into our next game against Everton, I would imagine that as soon as he can after that he’ll be on the phone.”

“It is very much a personal thing with Joe; the lads are very fond of him.”

“But with what we’ve been through this season they’re used to refocusing on what they have to do – training, playing games and, more importantly, trying to win football matches.”

“They’re all tough games, particularly in the position we’re in.”

“There are difficult away games at Bolton and Hull but we can only look after the first game and that’s at home to Everton, who are a very good side away from home.”

It’s probably good that we have two weeks to our next game, at home to Everton.

Joe will be comfortable by the game, and we assume he’ll watch it on TV, as long as the doctors OK that, because watching Newcastle is never an easy thinon the old heart.  😀

    1st

I bet Hughton will be on the phone to Joe more than he thinks, once we’ve been beaten again by all the teams above us.

What worries me is the defence is still rubbish despite Hughton being a defender!

What has he been working on. Lets not forget, he came from Spurs as a coach and they had one of the worst defences whilst he was there.

    It’s worrying.

I think we should be looking to get someone experienced in to hold the fort. We are perilously close to the drop zone and we’ve never looked like beaten any team lately otherthan WBA who look terrible.!

He’s still believing in the Ashley regime and he’s been hanging on Lambias’s every word. He’s that thick he can’t see its all soundbites to sell season tickets. I wouldn’t care, Stardust hasn’t got a ticket. woo hoo hooo hoooo

Kinnear should just concentrate on getting well first and worry about us later. We’ll be reet for now. I haven’t been his biggest fan but I don’t want some fairly decent bloke bouncing off this mortal coil because of our daft football club.

Joe, I know you mean well but…after you have had your post-operative physio helping to cough the worst cough you will ever have, and then got youout of bed and walking on a bloody painful leg you will not feel like talking to anybody for a few days.
