Lovenkrands Still Loving It At Newcastle

Peter Lovenkrands is still loving his time at Newcastle United.

Peter Lovenkrands loving it at Newcastle

Peter talked yesterday about his time so far at Newcastle:

“I’ve been here a good few weeks now and I’m loving it, it couldn’t have gone any better,”

“I’ve been getting stronger and stronger since I came to the club and I feel great.”

“Hopefully I’ll carry on like I’ve started because it’s been fantastic so far.”.

One of the features of Peter’s game is his speed, and in the two times he’s appeared for Newcastle he’s looked very sharp, especially last time out at WBA, where he scored the all important second goal.

When asked if he was still as fast as he was, and how fast he could run the hundred Peter said:

“I’m pretty confident it’s still sub-11 seconds.”

“I don’t know if I’m Oba Martins quick over ten yards, but over a longer distance I think it would be close.”

“I’ve always been very fast and that’s why sometimes I get put on the wing.”

“But I prefer to play down the middle as a forward and that’s where I feel I’m most effective.”

Newcastle have had a little respite in the league after the excellent win at WBA, and have now climbed to 13th place in the Barclays Premier League, but still just 4 points clear of the relegation zone, and we need to increase that margin.

Lovenkrands insists that the only way is up between now and the end of the season – well we hope so.

Peter continued:

“We have to try to get a good run together now and try to put some distance between ourselves and the bottom three,”

“West Brom was a massive win but it’s only one game and we know there is still a lot of hard work and a lot of points to play for.”

Peter is already becoming a fan favorite, and he looks a class player who we picked up for nothing since he had just left Schalke 04, after his Scottish wife could not settle in Germany.

A very good acquisition for the club, no doubt, but he was signed only until the end of the season, with Joe Kinnear reviewing the situation again at that time.

If Peter can get us a few more goals this season, he’s very likely to be offered a renewed contract in the summer.

We hope he does very well this season, and he’s made an excellent start – that’s for sure.

Ashley couldnt afford to buy spurs so he is turning newcastle into a poor mans version. Mad Mike plans to get rid of the black stripes on the shirt and he has already offered Chirpy (the club mascot at white hart lane,) better terms.

Mad Mike has asked Levy if he can rent some of the Trophies to pad out the newcastle trophy cabinet. The ones last won by newcastle are starting to turn green.

rooks – you got me in trouble, ya git. Cracked up and immediately gave it away that I wasn’t paying quite the close attention to my Project Plan as I’m paid to…

Anyway, Peter L is exactly the kind of buy we need. Lots of passion, a natural attacker, and versatile.

bennytoon-uh oh, c+p’ing your comments from one thread to another in the hope people will read/you’ll get a response. Poor, i expect better from you if im honest!

As far as Lovenkrands goes, i’m really pleased with his start if im honest. He had a good game at WBA and has got himself on the scoresheet early. Seems very enthusiastic, is greatful and looks ready to take his chance, pretty pleased. another good signing.
