Ryan Is Taylor Made For Newcastle United

The versatile Liverpudlian, who was a bargain buy for Newcastle at just £1.5M, on the last day of the transfer window, has now been at Newcastle for two weeks.

Ryan – Taylor made for Newcastle

But it seems that Ryan is already confident that with the players Newcastle have in the squad, they can avoid the drop.

Ryan talked to nufcTV yesterday:

“It’s frightening how much talent we’ve got,” “You’ve just got to look around the dressing room to realize the players we have available.

“I’m more than confident we’ll stay up although it will be a battle.” “But it’s going to be a battle I’m looking forward to.”

“I’ve got plenty of experience of being down there with Wigan and we’ve always stayed up.” “It’s important to put runs together and we’ve got two games unbeaten now to build on.”

“I can’t wait for the next game against Everton and the chance to play at St. James’ Park for Newcastle.” “It’s another massive game, as is every one, but we’ll be going all out for the win.”

Ryan is the third Liverpudlian we now have at the club as he joins Nolan and Barton, and all three are characters.

But they are also good players who are fighters, and that’s exactly what we need the players to show in the last 13 games of the season, and then we”ll be OK.

And Toon fans can then heave a huge sigh of relief. The Newcastle fans have really been put through the wringer this season.

What a difference a day makes. News now full of stories of “Bruce Ready to take Toon Job” story says people close to bruce say he WILL NOT turn down the job if offered it. The other story says we’re in for Riquelme in the summer! If these two stories come off i’ll be doing Oba style flips!

He’s what you call a team player, every team needs them.
Go for Delph and a couple of the Man City lads in the summer along with Whetter.
But most importantly of all bring in another clutch of top youngsters Dennis.
For the first time in years I can see an attempt to build a real football club, constructed from the bottom up which will only develop if it follows Ashley’s blueprint.
Its time for the supporters to be united and get behind this totally logical plan.

Looks pretty good, and he’s right there’s plenty talent in the dressing room. The problem being we are rudderless again without a manager who can organise that talent to play in a system that suits them. This is surely the perfect opportunity to employ a permanent manager, if MA did this it would show the doubting fans that he does mean business. Managing NUFC is one of the biggest jobs a manager can get, i don’t believe that no-one wants the job.
    potential candidates:
    Ketsbaia
    Rangnick
    Martinez
    D Ferguson
    Van Gaal

Ide go all out for Stevie Bruce -hes young-hes
a local lad-he supports Newcastle-hes done well at Wigan and Birmingham-with limited resources-and hes good bloke-i think hes the man to take us into Europe and challenge for the Premiership title within a few years-and i think Alan Shearer would work alongside him-to eventually take the role himself one day-or have a great BRUCE/SHEARER double act-what do u make of that then? the pair of them in charge?

Jim, i’d say for right now, to establish us as a top half side maybe challenging for Europe in 4-5 seasons, Bruce is the man. However, when you start saying things like Premiership it’s a bit delusional. Does anybody here honestly think Hughes will win the Champions League with Man City?

Well said Jim! that is the best post i’ve seen regarding this manager situation. Tell you what teams would be intimidated of us again if we had Bruce & Shearer in charge. No disrespect to Joe but some twats were trying to make him out to be a joke where as Bruce & Shearer have loads of respect in the game.

Wigaz by some twats do you mean Scolari?

Yeah and basically, if we want top half finishes, small chance of challenging for Europe within 5 seasons then = Bruce.

If we want to be in firm contention for Europe and ‘trying to do a Villa/Everton of last season’ then we want a really top experienced manager. Terim?

I like ryan taylor, good set pieces, good attitude and versitile…will be a big player for us this season with all our injuries ( assuming he doesnt get injured too ha!)

on the manager situation, i could see bruce wanting to leave wigan! spec with the sale of heskey and palacios and he’s already said valencia is certain to go in the summer!

would love it if he was here!

    Here’s my top 5

    Bruce
    Martinez
    Strachan
    Ketsbaia
    D Ferguson

Andy-delusional? a trifle harsh maybe? lol-nowt wrong in high hopes mate-so were/are Aston Villa fans delusional if they were to pip it this or next season? we were jumping and swapping places regular in the table with them last year etc-and i said a few years-who says a team that progresses rapidly cant win the prem? is that the requirement like? to have to have been in the top four for years to win it? -Blackburn came from no where and done it-as did Leeds

Does nobody fancy us going for Terim or Sven? I think honestly, if we want to go back to the Robson years then one of those 2 will be good choices. Remember Sven did the double over Man Utd.

Didn’t mean to sound harsh Jim, but let’s not forget O’Neill’s record before he went to Villa. Does Bruce or Martinez have anything like it? No, with all due respect, they’re fairly unknown, although credit where it’s due, Bruce has Wigan at a good place.

I am really happy with R. Taylor he will bring alot to our team, his long thrown-in is well needed and he can deliver good crosses. I can’t wait to see what team we put out against Everton.

Plus, I hope people can just try to remember that Shearer has stated the reason he will not come to the club is because of the ownership. Why doesn’t Shearer prove himself as a manager and work his way up the leagues? Can’t be bothered, in my opinion.

Gotta say lads, Everton and Bolton are must wins. We have such a hard run out, and apart from possibly Spurs Stoke and Smoggies, can’t see us winning any other games.

Why would any manager name Shearer as an assistant? He’s such a legend that the fans would be callin for him as manager the first time club lost a couple of matches.
