Everton’s Cahill and Hibbert To Miss Newcastle Game

Everton had a good 3-1 win at home to Aston Villa today, in the FA Cup, but there was some good news for any Newcastle United fans watching the game.

tim-cahill-123

Tim Cahill – misses Newcastle game with 5 yellow cards

The good news was that 5 Everton players started the game today with 4 yellow cards each, and two of them had their 5th caution during the tie, and will therefore miss the game against Newcastle at St. James’ Park next Sunday.

Right back Tony Hibbert and Tim Cahill picked up yellow cards in the first half, and that means they will both miss the Newcastle game.

That’s particularly good news about Cahill, because he’s arguably Everton’s best player right now and scored another goal today, and the Australian International has always been a dangerous player, ever since he started at Milwall some 12 years ago.

American goalkeeper Tim Howard was a doubtful before the game with a thigh strain, and seemed to have trouble in the second half this afternoon with his thigh, so he may doubtful for next Sunday.

We need all the help we can get these days top get points in the league, so it’s nice the Gods may be conspiring to help us out.

Now we must stand a decent chance to win next Sunday, although Everton are a very good team, very well managed by David Moyes.

Comments welcome.

WE have to rise our game to match them. FOR NOW we need to accept that Everton is better team than us in term of stability and team work. It showed on the AstonVilla game.

But this is St’ James park, We don’t want to lose anyone in the world here. Show us the passion and desire to win attitude on sunday, that’s all we hope for.

Show them we’re not circus anymore.

That’s absolutely awesome. Cahill is their heartbeat. I agree we need to step up our game and I’ve got some faith that we will with Martins providing more punch up top.

Its not good news Hibbert is out, the man is a carthorse and offers nothing offensively. Jonas would have skinned him numerous times.

    Jonas
    Martins
    Smith
    Viduka
    Possibly Guthrie
    Cacrapa(not really a bonus)

all back, but is it enough and are they the right players?

Yes but if Hibbert is that bad and is picked in that position over evryone else then his replacement must be worse 😉

what are these arseholes talking about on the mach regarding Ronaldos disallowed goal. The refs n lines men get ridiculed about some of the terrible decisions they make and now, for once, they use common sense and come to the right decision, but still, cant get any credit for what they did!
Townsend + Sheringham = sausage jockies!

we have a good chance if we pick the right players.

    Harper

    R.Taylor Colo Bassong Enrique

    Duff Nolan Butt Jonas

    Lovenkrands Martins

I dont wanna pick butt but its a case of needs must. He has to be told to stop back and cover the back four i dont want to see him surge forward and try long range passing.

Ameobi shouldnt bother getting on the bus.
Smith Geremi & Viduka are all fit but equally poor.

And for the love of god give LuaLua a decent half hour run out.

Dragonera – He just scored again, good finish, he is a good player but doesn’t look that impressive because of his languid style of play.

If Kazenga’s performances for both reserves and u-18’s don’t warrant a call up to the first team then i don’t know what will. He has looked excellent.

Just because your heeed is a long way in the dark end of KK(who is living in the past)doesn`t mean he can or could have done a better job than JK as he doesn`t stay anywhere long enough to be found out
