Jonas Gutierrez – We Can Get 3 Points Tomorrow Night

Jonas Gutierrez had one of his best games for Newcastle United in the first game of the season at Old Trafford, and played another decent  game on  Sunday at Bolton Wanderers.

Jonas Gutierrez – we can get 3 points tomorrow night

Jonas talked to the Newcastle Journal this morning:

“It’s vital we start picking up points,”   “It’s a tough game against Manchester United. They are the best team in the world, but we can get something out of it, just like we did at Old Trafford earlier in the season.

“I enjoyed that day very much, it was my debut and we got a very good result there.” “I was happy because the fans were chanting my name from the first day. It was only a draw but people thought we would be beaten, but we did very well.”

“That was a long time ago, but we can take confidence from that. It’s going to be very difficult, but we know we can play a lot better than we have done recently.”

“If we play well and they are distracted by other games, we can get the three points. That is exactly the sort of result we need at the moment to give us a lift.”

Well, now is the time for the players at Newcastle United to show what they are made of, if we are not to slip further into the abyss of relegation.

If we are to get relegated it will be a monumental blow to the Newcastle football club, and will take us some time to regroup.

But there’s no doubt the loss of the TV revenues from the Premier League, will be a huge loss for the club, make no mistake about that.

I stopped believing in fairy tales when I was in the infants school. Marvellous if we got three. I am hoping for one vital point. We must hope Pompey lose at home to Chelsea tonight. On Wednesday we need to win or draw. Why? Because on that night we have got to see Spurs beat the Smoggies, Blackburn lose/draw to Everton, and Stoke do not beat Bolton. Anybody still got any finger nails yet? We have got to start with Martins and Jonas and keep them on the entire game. Wednesday night is not a game for has beens or those on their way out at the seasons end regardless of whether we stay uo or go down. Howay the lads, full support, back the toon, keep the faith. Keep their prima donnas well marked and Manky can buckle.

I just wish our players would keep their big gobs shut instead of continually spouting ” We can .. we must… we will… for our fans… we owe them… etc etc etc.” Fact is they can’t, they don’t, they won’t. It will be man against boys on Wednesday. Unfortunately Man U have the boys… we have the men. Thats one of the problems and it won’t change with the temporary management team in charge. Prepare to be humiliated… if we can keep it down to 5 goals I will be thankful.

Its all positive spin and pr – just like the crap we had before the bolton game – which we were gonna win too.

    Same sh*t different day.

Just found out some bad news within the family and it certainly puts things into perspective.

Couldn’t have put it better myself, too much talk off the pitch instead of on it. Jonas must be deluded to think we will get three points tomorrow night, the whole team is clueless. If they spent more time putting in the extra effort they promised for Joe Kinnear instead of spouting to the press we might not be in as bad a position.

We probably will be beaten…after all they are not the best club side in the world by chance…

As long as I see the lads giving everything for the cause and playing to whatever potential they have, that is all that can be asked…

admire his confidence greatly but he obviously hasnt sat and taken a look at the lads around him like. Had he done so he’d have sadly, realised that there’s probably only a handful of them who actually have any bottle meaning we’ll probably be humiliated tomorrow night.
