Newcastle Dreams Could Come True With Shearer In Charge

It is taking us a little time to believe what truly is fabulous news at Newcastle United this morning – that one of Newcastle’s greatest ever players, Alan Shearer, who knocked in 206 goals for the club and 341 total goals in total in 558 appearances in his first class career – has agreed to manage the club through the end of the season.

alan-shearer-123

Alan Shearer – with the famous goal salute – one of his 206 at Newcastle

This will be all over the news today, and no doubt we’ll see some pictures of Newcastle fans and in all honesty it could only be  on Tyneside, that such passion is being generated with the news that Alan Shearer has accepted the significant challenge to come in and manage Newcastle in their last eight games of the season.

And we are far from Tyneside, and can only imagine the Bigg Market being abuzz with the news, and Newcastle fans will have that extra spring in their step – at this phenomenal – still almost unbelievable news this morning.

And we also expect the players to be upbeat, as players like Oba Martins have heard all about Alan Shearer, and presumably tomorrow, Alan will take his first training season, but will also talk to the players.

But make no mistake when Alan does a job he puts his heart and soul into it, just like he did when he is playing football, and he will expect no less from any single player who puts on the famous black and white striped shirt of Newcastle.

His mere presence on the touchline on Saturday will have Newcastle players re-energized, and they had better be, because Alan will hardly put up with any slackers or anybody who doesn’t row the boat of Newcastle United, in the direction Shearer wants it to go.

No, this is one of the most exciting management appointments in Newcastle’s history, as it looks like Alan has accepted the Newcastle manager challenge – when the club needed him most – and like any other life-time fan, born and bred in Newcastle, how could he turn it down?

And if Alan accepts the job on a permanent basis in the summer, just think the draw he will become to players who are approached by Newcastle United Football Club. We should be able to attract some top class players, that’s for sure.

One message to Mike Ashley – this is more like it.

Howay The Lads!!

A RALLYING CRY FROM TROY CHURCHILL STAVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“I have, myself, full confidence that if all do their duty, if nothing is neglected, and if the best arrangements are made, as they are being made, we shall prove ourselves once again able to defend our home, St. James Park.
To ride out the storm of opposing fans, and to outlive the menace of tyranny, if necessary for years, if necessary alone, as the Toon army.

At any rate, that is what we are going to try to do. That is the resolve of Alan Shearer!!
That is the will of the mob but not the nation.

The Mob and Shearer, linked together in their cause and in their need, will defend to the death their native turf, aiding each other like good comrades to the utmost of their strength.

Even though its been years since we visited Europe and many old and famous foreign grounds, we have not yet fallen into the Championship or fell into the grip of Stardust and all the odious apparatus of Ashley rule, we shall not flag or fail.

We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in Manchester,
we shall fight in London and Liverpool,
we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our goal, whatever the cost may be,
we shall fight on the terraces,
we shall fight on all the grounds,
we shall fight in the car parks and in the streets,
    we shall fight in the hills;
we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this great club or a large part of it were subjected to Stardust and his rules, then our Empire beyond the city walls, armed and guarded by the Toon army, would carry on the struggle, until, in God’s good time, the New Newcastle United , with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the mob.”

Hail Shearer!! Hail Shearer!! Hail Shearer!!
Hail NUSC!!! Hail The Mob!!! Hail Troy Churchill Stavers!!!

    1st jobs,

Get rid of Hughton and Colin Can’tdo

Bring in Ian Dowie, Sir Les and Rob Lee as coaches.

Get the players motivated and instill the mentality that we had at Old Trafford.

Keep us in the PL by winning home games.

Get rid of Viduka, Geremi, Smith, Cacapa and decide Owen’s future.

Bring in Shearers choice players with Joe Kinnear given head scout job.

Kinnear was about to be appointed a scout at Arsenal before he took the managerial job. I’m not sure how well he would work with Shearer though as Kinnear is a bit of a mouth in fairness to him.

We shouldn’t get carried away for a couple of reasons
    1. Shearer has a difficult job in keeping us up. Ashley knows this so this appointment will appease fans who won’t blame Shearer if we get relegated.
    2. It is only till the end of the season and Shearer might not want to keep the job long term under Ashley.

Having said that we now have a good fighting chance of staying up under Shearer, far better than under Kinnear or Hughton. And how much more would it add to his legend if he kept us up

right lads i have just heard, there is alot of talk fromalot of people that the only reason that shearer couldnt sign his 3 and a half year contract is because he has no pro license, this only lets him manage a team for roughly 3 months without one, as soon as he gets his pro license he will sign a long contract

You are probably right Dave. But he has very unique personality, everyone here ignores him for few days, then somehow due to some strange comments he again bothers everyone. I would say banning him is right idea unless BENNY agrees himself that he will only make sensible comments here. Even if he creates another ID or uses proxy etc, we will know by his language, as he can not resist.

BENNY what do you think mate ?

I know sometimes it’s good to have an outside opinion and most times he does have a different perspective on things which may prove for a good discussion but the majority time he just talks rubbish. Comments to get peoples back up. This is a good time for NUFC do yourselves a favour and ignore the helmet.
