We watched Alan’s interview on Newcastle United TV yesterday afternoon, where he talked about a whole range of things, but one of them was Spurs and Harry Redknapp.
Harry Redknapp – done a terrific job at Spurs this season
It certainly seems like Alan likes Harry, who of course is a great manager and a terrific motivator of his players, and he’s done just a terrific job at Tottenham this year. And with 16 points from their last 7 league games, Spurs are now looking to qualify for Europe next season, after being rock bottom of the league early on this season, under former manager Juande Ramos, who was hopeless.
And Alan is well aware of what Harry has done in London this season as he said:
“Every point counts and we’ll be going to Spurs with same attitude as we did against Stoke, and that is to try and win the game.”
“Harry has done a fantastic job there and they were in a huge relegation battle themselves when he took over.”
“He’s now got them out of that and they’re pushing towards European places so it will be very tough because they’ve got some very talented players.”
“But it’s a game we’re looking to win and from the first minute we’ll be trying to get the the three points.” “But we do go into this with a little bit more confidence than we did going into Stoke last week.
“And if we can take the positives from that game then I think we’ll do OK.”
It’s always good to hear a manager talk about going away and trying to get all 3 points. There’s a lot we’ve liked about Alan’s attitude since he took over at Newcastle, and he’s certainly down to earth and extremely pragmatic.
He pointed out that we can have have great training sessions and everybody can have great team spirit and the like, but if we don’t get a result at the end of the week – it will have been a bad week.
But we like that Alan is going all out for the wins that of course we now so desperately need, if we are to survive the significant scare of relegation this season.
But the longer we go without that first win under Alan, the worse our chances become of surviving – that’s for sure.

Comment #2Sky will hame Jamie bleating on about how good spurs are pre-during and post match. Oh such joy.
Harry was well peeed of when we won 2 – 1 in december. His post match interview was priceless. Red faced, bleating on about how they were the better side yada yada yada.
Harry will probably go 4 – 5 – 1 and flood the midfield.
Our formation – aint got a clue. Shearer aint like Kinnear so you dont know what he is gonna do.
