Shearer Was Fantastic Newcastle Appointment – Harry Redknapp

Alan Shearer paid tribute to the great work Harry Redknapp has done at Spurs this season, and would you believe it, Harry has come right back with some stellar things to say about the new Newcastle manager.

Alan Shearer– Harry thinks Newcastle can survive this season

We always knew Harry thought Alan was a great player, because he would always wax lyrical about Alan every time Alan had played for Newcastle against one of Harry’s side, but it seems he also thinks Alan will make a decent manager at Newcastle. So let’s see what Harry has been saying about Newcastle and Shearer.

Harry said today:

“With Joe Kinnear having his health problems they needed to bring someone in.” “It was a fantastic appointment. They couldn’t have picked anyone better and all the fans would have wanted him in there.”

“He has got fantastic knowledge of the game and what he has achieved as a player had made him one of the all-time great players.”

“I haven’t got any regrets. They are a great club and you only have to see the support they get and the atmosphere they generate is fantastic.”

“They have got themselves in a bit of hole but I still think they will get out of it. They have got three home games and I think they can save their season.”

There’s a few “fantastics” in there, but we hope Harry is right that Newcastle can indeed escape relegation this season, because right now things look like they could go either way.

Harry has always been very complimentary about the Newcastle club, since our failed attempt to get him in as manager a year last January.聽 And of course if we had been successful then, we would not have been 3rd bottom right now, or joint second bottom to be more accurate.

But of course Harry now has his almost perfect job, so in the end it worked out well for him, and he’s done really well this season at the North London club.

Alan is still a bit of an unknown as far as management goes, but it’s good to know that Harry believes Alan can save us this season.

Now does that mean Harry will not be too disappointed if Newcastle take all 3 points on Sunday afternoon?

Probably not, but we can always ask, and we still live in hope that we will indeed survive.聽 馃榾

Howay The Lads!!

Will be one hell of a game on Sunday.

Both managers have lots of respect for each other ,but for 90 minutes, we need to see a gargantuan effort from Newcastle, Redknapp will be ready. So we need to battle.

I don’t think we will get anything on Sunday!

If a team that has won 6 home games in a row plays against a team with only 2 away wins all season the result is normally in inevitible!

ok, new rule since benny still persists on winding us up, to make sure we all remember not to bite when he comes a knocking, instead of “1st” for the first one to repsond to a new thread, you must write IGNORE BENNYTOOL.

this will remind us all and advise the people who come on less frequently that its not worht it.

also, bare in mind that i’m sure he’ll also try to change his name and weasel his way in some how so try not to bite to anyone, just dont respond. anyone with younger brothers all kids on here will know that if you ignore them, they tend to get bored quickly… please bare that in mind and perhaps if he persists to come on here, he will be courteous and polite…

“Fantastic” can have several different meanings Ed.

    “fan路tas路tic (fn-tstk) also fan路tas路ti路cal (-t-kl)
    adj.
    1. Quaint or strange in form, conception, or appearance.
    2.
    a. Unrestrainedly fanciful; extravagant: fantastic hopes.
    b. Bizarre, as in form or appearance; strange: fantastic attire; fantastic behavior.
    c. Based on or existing only in fantasy; unreal: fantastic ideas about her own superiority.
    3. Wonderful or superb; remarkable: a fantastic trip to Europe.
    n.
    An eccentric person.”

    Which meaning did Harry intend???????

Morning lads – had a really messed up dream last night.

Woke up at 5 this morning and dreamt that Harper saved a penalty but lost the ball and spurs scored on the rebound – then Sam Allerdyce was whacking the goal posts with a carpet beater!

    Wonder what that means????

    They loved a jolly roger.

My mother just rang me – she’s worried she may be getting Alzheimers.

I told her to forget about it.

I’ve just got the new marmite flavoured condom.

My girlfriend loves them, but my wife hates them.

I think Shearer will go with trusted Brit players for the run in as Enrique etc dont have the stomach for a fight, it wont be pretty bit it will get us through by keeping it tight at the back. Re the article, Redknapp went for the easy option with Spurs who have plenty of debt to spend, he has left Pompey in a hell of a financial plight but he must be a very clever man to escape all the financial investigations. Despite this, i could listen to him talking football all day and wish he was the England manager.

Statistics, statistics, statistics and damn lies, Luke Edwards is a tit. Pele could play alongside Shola and have a poor goals return, he would make anyone look ordinary, even when he has scored his overall play has been abysmal.
