Complete Change Of Attitude Needed By Newcastle Players

Rather than dread being relegated and approaching our games like that , the Newcastle players should realize that even after everything that’s happened this season, with just 6 wins, the lowest of any side in the Premier League, it may be one single win against Middlesbrough that could still save the side.

Mike Ashley – wondering what he’s paying £74M for this season

No confidence and dreading it and no mental strength at all.     What are they thinking?     They are thinking of missing – and that’s what they usually do.

What we need to see from these overpaid and pampered Newcastle players, is just for one single game – and that would be against Middlesbrough next Monday night – the lads can forgot their terrible performances, and play for their own pride – as professional footballers.  If we do that, we could even win the game – think about that!

And that may be all we need to stay up this season, thanks to other sides trying to be even worse than we are – which let’s face it – has to be tough for them.

If they can win in front of 50,000 Newcastle fans, that could well be all we need to do to stay up. With Middlesbrough and Hull City threatening to be even worse than we are in the run-in, we need just one or two inspired performances from the lads – and the minimum may just be one single win.

We’ll know better tonight and trust that Aston Villa will be too strong for Hull City, who are the team we need to catch.

We should really be dead and buried right now based on our own form, but we’re not and maybe, just maybe, there are 3 teams even worse than us this season.

Hard to really believe we know – but it may just be true. 😀

Howay The Lads!!

ashley regardless of what happensthis year should have a huge clear out, keep shearer in and let him re-structure everything, and get rid of nearly all of the playing staff

Ed, I think we need a minimum of 5 points, just to make sure, though if we can somehow get 7 pts we are definitely safe imo, but we will see.

Hull have got a chance of some points vs bolton and stoke, so we will see.

We need a complete change of players. We need a minimum of two wins because Hull will beat Stoke.
IF we stay up, we will have the same again next season. The same crap players and the same owner bleeding the club dry. Another relegation fight.
I would rather we were relegated. Get rid of the overpaid superstars. Get rid of the owner (somehow) and start again. Come back fittter and stronger. Staying in the Prem is just delaying the inevitable unless fat Mike can find a rich Arab.

I see Al has identified another BIG game. Boro. They are all big games until we do not win them. Does Al realize that Hull play Stoke next Saturday so the Boro game may not be that big after all. The Boro game may just be a dead game.

Ed, when our form was dire under Hughton, the emphasis was on Hughton’s inexperience, lack of leadership, poor motivation etc. Now it’s Dowie and Shearer, it has switched markedly towards the players. What is the reason for this shift of emphasis?

jimiley – ashley had his chance with the abu dhabi crowd and didn’t want to do business.

i think until we have performance related pay or pay as you play, these players will just count the money and not give a fig.

I’m really not that confident that Villa will win tonight. If Hull pick up a win, then I think the fat lady is well and truly singing her heart out.. and bye bye prem.. we’re just not good enough…

The writing has been on the wall for years ever since we sacked Bobby we have just gone down hill every season since, Sheppard took the club to the brink of collapse fiancially and then Ashley come in without a clue of how to run a football club, we must be top of the league for footballs worst buys for every five players signed four are pants and one is decent

I watched the Aston Villa & Hull to-night, If Newcastle can put as much effort that Hull did we might stay up. Boy oh boy did Hull try. So Stoke will find it hard with Hull.

….and surprise, surprise, Alonso’s injury is nowhere near as bad as at first thought and he’s ok to play at the weekend.
I’m not condoning Barton – the lad is an idiot. But Alonso milked it for all it was worth it seemed at the time and now here’s proof.
