Owen gets supply of Mrtins but Martins gets nothing off Owen in return, he is nowhere to be seen most of the time.

If we stay up I would like to see Martins and Cisse partnered, Cisse puts ball after ball on to the heads and at the feet of the other Sunderland players and they cannot put any of them away, Martins would love to get passes like that, when Martins makes a run Cisse would be tapping his foot waiting, not wheezing like Owen still in our half, we have to face it we will never have £13m plus midfielders to give perfect service and score goals equal to a reasonable striker, so we have to have strikers who are fast on the counter so the opposition has to keep four players back (not just two for Martins) and ones who can make something themselves, Martins and Cisse take the pressure off the rest of the team so they can perform better, they would partner up brilliantly, Cisse is tall, Martins is short, which is ideal, but they are both fast.

Yes the last 20 minutes of the Hull game saw me watching it through my fingers most of the time. Hull did have a lot of fight and were trying really hard – I hope some of our team were watching that and feeling a bit ashamed at their lack of fortitude and how easily they throw in the towel but I guess it may have been lost on several of them

The reason Nacho is not playing is not because Shearer does not have balls. Nacho would have to get used to the pace of the premiership, like every other player has needed to (including Henry, Torres etc.). Nacho has played 31 minutes of football in the past 10 months. Throwing him into a relegation battle completely unfit (even if he, as you seem so certain of, is NOT injured) would be absolutely suicide. Nacho will NOT play for the remainder of the season. I can guarantee that. I don’t doubt he is a quality footballer, and maybe you are right, maybe he is exactly what we need at the moment. But he will not play because he is unfit, not used to the English game, and apparently has not convinced Shearer in training (if he is training).

Please, I am asking you to be so kind to stop writing about him. We don’t make the decision regarding who plays. You cannot convince us that he should play, and then we pick him. You would have to convince Shearer, and I don’t think he is on this forum. Call his office 40 times a day instead of posting on here?

Finally I got a conclussion: Shearer won’t play ‘Nacho’ cause that would mean dropping captain Butt, and he probably doesn’t have the balls to do so. So basically we are dead. It would be perfect to have Jonas, Smith, ‘Nacho’ and Guthrie together in the midfield.

All the current problems would be fixed. As easy as it sounds. Can’t you see Butt is the only one getting endless chances regardless of his performances? even Owen has been dropped but not useless Butt.. he looks like the owner of the team.
