One of our long time readers, Chris Flynn, is organizing a football game at St. James’ Park on May 26th for charity, and we’d like to help promote the game.
The game is being organised as part of a scheme the Newcastle football club runs, to let fans play at the stadium.
All proceeds will go to Cancer Research, and the added bonus with the JustGiving organization is that any donations made by UK taxpayers will be supplemented, so the charity gets that extra bit more from online donations, and of course overseas fans can also donate.
Chris Flynn is organizing the game with his cousins, Lee and David Houghton in memory of their father George Houghton, who died in May 2006, after a long battle with bowel cancer.
The charity football match will take place at St. James’ Park on May 26th, just two days after we’ve hopefully survived in the Premier League, so it may be a great time to celebrate, and it’s very good cause as all proceeds go to Cancer Research UK.
If you cannot attend the game you can denote here.
Thanks for any donations you can give to this worthy cause.
