The Newcastle United Blog Nominated by EPL

We have been informed today, from the EPLTALK web-site, that our Newcastle United Blog has been nominated for Best EPL Club Blog.

This is what we have been told by Christopher Harris, the editor of EPLTALK this morning:

I’m writing to congratulate you on being nominated for the following category in the inaugural EPL Awards:

* Best EPL Club Blog

The EPL Awards honor the very best of the 2008/2009 Premier League season — everything from the players, managers and teams to the podcasts, blogs, commentators and TV shows that matter. The nominees were chosen by a select group of writers from EPL Talk, a leading blog that features daily news and analysis of the EPL (English Premier League).

Voting for the EPL Awards is now open to the public, so feel free to encourage your readers to vote. One vote per person. Polls close on Sunday, May 31st at midnight ET.  Winners will be announced during the first week of June.

So, if you would like to vote for us please do so HERE.

We lost out on one award earlier this year, because some of our readers voted multiple times, so please let’s keep the integrity of the Newcastle United club intact by voting only once.

If we win so be it, if we don’t that’s OK too, because Newcastle United staying up is much more important. 😀

    Nice one Eddy-Boy! Great site, great bloggers (with the odd exception) and a reet good craic!

    Unfortunately the winner of this category seems to be judged by the amount of fans the team has, not the quality and regularity of the news stories and feedback, so it’s bound to go to manure 🙁

    Congratulations and thanks for keeping us all entertained nonetheless!

    Congrats Ed. I think you have a great blog and have followed it for years. However, the committee must have viewed the site before the silly pop up ads came about. I understand you just want to make a buck, but with all the other new revenue streams on this site, can’t you please get rid of the screen covers/pop ups? They’re extremely annoying.

    Ed: Congrats. I voted right after reading about it. Add me to the list of people who hope you will carry on next season.

    Please remember, you can get yourself some help, or perhaps scale back a bit. A lot of us will miss ya when you’re no longer doing this blog.

    Well deserved, honor!
