Sympathy For Newcastle Fans At Laurel and Hardy Run Club

We sense a little change in the reporting of the complete mess Mike Ashley has made of his ownership of the Newcastle United club.

Newcastle fans – screwed more than once by grossly  incompetent Ashley

With the season tickets being sent out last week, and with no owner identified, no manager, no pre- season friendlies and nothing much else being done to prepare Newcastle for the new season, it’s another ridiculous bit of timing from the Laurel and Hardy duo at Newcastle.

Surely the business ineptitude of Ashley and Llambias, shown again and again at Newcastle, will forever stain their image as creditable businessmen – if  not it should.

We’ve received a number of sympathetic  notes from Leeds United fans regarding the plight of the club, and of course the Leeds fans have gone through more than hell and high since Leeds were relegated from the Premier League in 2004.

We are still hoping the Newcastle club can avoid  the complete implosion that happened at the famous Yorkshire club, but none of that will be possible with Laurel ((Llambias) and Hardy (Ashley – who else?) still running the club – or should we be more specific and say running the club into the ground.

laurel and hardy 234mike-ashley-1349947c

Look familiar?

We pray every night this lot leaves Newcastle just as soon as humanly possible – they are a disgrace to the Newcastle club – a complete and utter disgrace to the Tyneside club and to the City Of Newcastle Upon Tyne, which will now be hit hard by relegation.

We hope we have made ourselves clear on our feeling about Ashley and Llambias – we’re really not too fond of their business capabilities. 😀

Comments welcome.

I don’t think the club is going to be sold at all and I hope those morons at the top start to realise this before it is too late.

Give Shearer the contract now and get on with it, Ashley.
If he ever wants to sell this club then he should know that the price is going to completely skyrocket if Newcastle get promoted. I read something about the play-off final being the most expensive game in the world for the winning team because of the money that they will earn in the Premier League.
So if it is really about the cash then why doesn’t Ashley just concentrate on the football team before the daunting prospect of a season becomes a catastophic fall.
Lets just focus on the football and face the fact that this man will probably still be there next season. I hope he leaves, I really do. But I don’t think its going to happen yet.

    Ed Harrison

Im sorry Ed, but the quality of your articles has dropped significantly. Due to the lack of news concerning the club you have now resorted to churning out clone articles everyday. How many times have you produced an article regarding “Ashley’s incompetence” and “Sympathy for Newcastle fans”? Everyday i see 3 or so of these articles and to be honest Ed, it is getting incredibly tedious. If there is no news then there is no news Ed.

“Dragonera – If your bored with Ed’s articles then don’t read them! You have to remember threre are people in other countries you won’t get any news about us, so for them it’s probably not enough articles!”

So people in other countries that don’t get much news about the club should read the same articles re-worded day after day in order to feel like they are recieving more news than they actually are? Silly.

“Alright Dragonera… Chill out mate! Ed is doing a great job… And ok, I respect that you don’t like them, but I think the article is good and interesting!”

I disagree. Ed used to do a great job, but nowadays the use of grossly misleading headlines and regurgatated articles leads me to believe Ed is now purely focused on raking in hits, rather than creating an unbiased, high quality read.

For the life of me, honestly, I am finding it almost incomprehesigble..incphepeytible… erm inhensicompelib….

I just don’t understand why Ashley has not already been “bumped off”.

I’ve had to blank out a few words, can anybody please inform me…..

How on earth did Mike Ashley make all that money when he is blatantly as thick as blink?

What kind of idiot backs Dennis Wise over Kevin Keegan IN NEWCASTLE?

What kind of stupid, fat, clueless blank even contemplates Joe ‘me heart’s blinked and I haven’t been a manager since relegating Forest about ten years ago’ Kinnear as the manager of a team in freefall?

What kind of imbelic, brain dead, mackem-like, blinking pleb then doesn’t replace the aforementioned Mr. Kinnear and instead lets the team and club and city slide to it’s doom before bringing in someone professional once it’s too blinking late?

    – The same kind of obese moron that then decides to sell the club and put it in managerless limbo just as everyone else is preparing for next season thus condemning us to another season of blinking about, playing catch up and getting nowhere blinking fast.

I just find it all blinking blanking well INCOMPREHENSIBLE!

I’m not sure if Dragonera is Stardust in disguise but it’s distracting from the theme.. Be positive.
Can I suggest the purpose of this thread is two fold :-
1/ To continue to Unite fans in showing our contempt for Ashley and Co.
2/ To continue the snowball effect displaying the majority of fans opinion that Shearer should be installed as manager.
So lets Unite and pray the sale of the club doesn’t take as long as the much awaited “Apology” from Stardust for his absurd support of Ashley and ‘crimes against Nufc fans”..
    The Baffoon.

In actual fact Dragonera it’s (often) irrelevent what Ed writes as his leader, as most of the time the blog veers of onto a completely different track. It’s more of a vehicle for people to vent their feelings. Whether it be angst or speculation or even to have a dig at us (bennytoon etc.) or at each other. Personally I find it vert cathartic to be able to put my thoughts into words even if most of the time they get little or no response.
Hope that doesn’t sound like criticism Ed, it’s not intended as such.

As for Owen (Batty’s link), i hate him as much as Ashley. He was are captain and has made comment on our relegation, instead the 1st we hear of him is about how he wants a new club and that he played all the games he could for us, i bet the brochure fails to mention he was sh*t in those games. Did he take a pay cut when injured for so long, help out with youngsters, do local charity work, did he fu*k!

Tribal Football seem think that Steve Taylor is trying also to leave the sinking ship, if it is true then dressing room morale must be really low. I wouldn’t miss King Rat at all but if Stevie were to go then I would not be at all happy.

I honestly think owen is damaged goods now, i would be real surprised if a top half prem team would take him saying that you would allways get a team like the mackems to take him as they are famous for taking washed up sh*te lol. I have a funny feeling we will be getting rid of Ma’s and jokin joe pics on the banner, so who wants to see our FFFS pic up instead ?

If it is true that AL would come in with him I think it would be good for the club. i know all the sh*te that went on the last time but we were a plc i think with his own gringos ££ he wouldnt be the same. sometimes in life its better the devil you know. how would you feel if he came back ?

Fat Freddy couldn’t even afford to buy into a second rate Spanish team so how could he be in a position to afford us, even on the cheap. Unless (as humerously suggested) he has some good financial backing.
Given the options of Laurel and Hardy continuing or the scrap metal man coming back I know the one I would prefer. One of them did have a genuine connection and effection for the Toon at least, despite his somewhat tarnished past.

Bill F genuine connection and effection for the Toon at least. that is what my feelings are I know people say about the 100 odd mill of debts but i think a lot of that was with the stadium upgrade,Liverpool 350 + manure 600 + chelski ???+ as it was only interest free loan when abromivich gets bored they still have to pay it back to him, unfurtunatly its the modern thing big debts. and they say about given owen 105 k a week but if owen turned out to be what he should have been i think we would look at it differently.

From what i can gather after this weeks rumour mill, we have 7 scenarios.
    1. Ashley doesn’t/can’t sell stays in charge and appoints Curbishley/Hughton.
    2. Ashley can’t sell and puts us into administration.
    3. Sheperd takes over with Shearer in charge.
    4. American take over.
    5. South African takeover, Patrice Motsepe?
    6. Singapore profitable group takeover, possibly Shearer in charge.
    7. Middle east takeover.
