No news is good news unless your a Toon fan.Should’nt expect anything else we’ve only had two (I’m sorry notes ) from Ashley and two (that story is rubbish) from Llambias in the time they have been running things.The news I dread most is that they have taken it off the market.Its funny everybody that gets involved is struck dumb.They don’t even say that they have nothing to report .Strange lot! The longer it goes on the further down we go but we all know that. Pity they don’t seem to.

Portsmouth haven’t got a manager either btw which is frustrating for their players too, it’s just what both sets of fans have to put up with when the club is in the process of being bought out.

Ashley should make Shearer the manager and make it plain he is part of the package to prospective buyers. If prospective buyers do not want Al then they can look elsewhere to invest their money. That way NUFC will be viable and reasonably stable for the new campaign. You know it makes sense Ashley – get your finger out of Lambi’s arse!

@Fraid I’ve got to take exception to the way the press are ridiculing Newcastle Unites as a laughing stock.

The club’s name is the subject of ridicule and it aint the locally based poor sods who are trying to do what they can that are responsible for the present mess – it’s Ashley who’s pulling the strings and calling the shots and surely it’s he the press should be poking fun at.

It’s the fans, the local ones and the expats like me who are subject to the jibes and the way to deal with it is to agree it’s a mess but point out that it’s Ashley who’s dragged the club to its knees.

I’ve noticed that of late, that a lot of football fans are beginning to symapthise with the newcastle supporters for the situation they’ve been placed in.

Keep your chins up lads and lasses.

Ashley has got to get a move on. We are like a drunk staggering down the road. We are being “run” from an office in London which is not hands on to me. We are missing out on some signings – e.g., Skeljbred (?) it seems and possible Beckford. I still think the FA should say something to these buffoons making us into a laughing stock. They certainly had things to say about Barton but let Ashley wreck a club and remain silent. Asley and Co ARE bringing the game into disrepute!

Dan4toon, i’m definitely looking forward to seeing our youth progress next season – They’ll have more of a chance.

However, what worries me more than anything is our squad size. People say, oh just get rid of him him and him. But if we get rid of this 15 players on 50K+, then are we even left with anyone? haha.
