Sunderland After Lovenkrands – Look For Shearer To Keep Him

If  truth be told, there doesn’t appear to be too much new news this morning on the Newcastle front, as we wait for the vital meeting to take place in London tomorrow.

peter-lovenkrands-woid

Peter Lovenkrands – are Sunderland after this striker?

It seems like Geordie Steve Bruce and Sunderland, have been interested in almost every one of our players, and somebody has made the story up today that they may be interested in taking Peter Lovenkrands. It’s the Daily Mail again.

But that’s not too surprising because Sunderland can offer the Newcastle players Premier League football next season, without them having to relocate.

But we don’t think much of this story, and if Alan gets appointed soon, look for him to talk with Lovenkrands, which he probably already has done, because Peter has that class we will need to differentiate ourselves next season in the Championship.

Lovenkrands should be able to get a decent deal to stay on Tyneside, which is what he wants with his pregnant wife Teresa close to her folks in Glasgow.  And we would look to Alan to tie up the Danish International on Tyneside, within a week of taking over at Newcastle.

We expect the same for Steven Taylor and Habib Beye, and hope he can persuade Bassong to stay, but that may prove much more difficult.

Comments welcome.

Its not the worlds best journalism and probably made up whilst sitting on a deck chair.

I think Sunderland will spend big – but then again I dont really care – but will miss the local derby matches.

Hopefully Lovenkrands is watching the Shearer and NUFC situation and will make his mind up accodingly. I think Alan would want him on board as well.

he’d be great in the championship but in the prem? sunderland spending big and they get lovenkrands? hardly setting the world alight with their signings are they.

They wanted a geordie manager and now they want all of our players? lolerz. They can have pretty much all of them for all I care.

Morning chaps just woke up and i am feeling good my teams on the up just about to sign lescott i heard Champions league hear we come! Toon Graeme i now understand why you say we wont win anything and that is jelousy, we cannt help being the envey of football so deal with it. On the other side of the coin is your club the lowly newcastle who havent got a manager or an owner with any common sense. MCFC are doing it all by the books and sensibly thats why we are going places and you are not.

NUFC-rip – jealous of Man City. Dont think so there fella. Not in the premiership so it doesnt concern me at all what your team does or how much they spend.

There is only one team in Manchester who are on the global appeal and thats manure.

Top 10 finish yes – champions league – doubt it – as I said yesterday – check back in in Jan and we will see.

    Oh Dear NUFC-RIP
I seem to have touched a nerve about little Robinho…..
I hope you dont think i was implying he only joined the Great, massive, world renowned MCFC just for he money, nor did Barry and Given nor did the rest of the underperforming low paid players who have been there all season and managed only a mid table finish…..

Mate, you really need to step out of the Shadow of the only club worth of note in Manchester, take a note out of us geordies books and be realistic and admit that your team is Crap, is, always has been and always will be as long as the Mighty Reds backsides face the ground…….

You really are very very funny boy.

Shearer will meet with Harris, Ashley and Llambias in London on the basis, I think, that something unbeknown to us has been worked out. Also I think this has been arranged because Ashley is too ashamed, too embarassed, and too shit scared to set foot in Newcastle. On reflection I think he is too thick skinned for the first two! We need a positive outcome from Friday. As for Nufc-rip – There was a girl from Man City who only had one titty…………..

Breaking football news: John Terry voted ‘Dad of the year’.

Sorry its a slow day but are you taking the piste.

Parking in disabled spots for hours and not paying a ticket or moving his gas gussling 4×4, despite being asked by a disabled driver.

Role model to all us dads eh? Bollox story but so captured by it I had to share.

out of topic, but anyone feel that arsene is going to walk out of arsenal soon ? If it happens this year, i doubt he would go into any top team as they have already filled up their manager spots. I know i am dreaming , but would love to see arsene as a manager ( honestly i might get some slack for this, but even before AL, would like to see arsene).

nufc-rip is just a harmless WUM lads – ignore him and he’ll go away. Hitman and TG, why else would LC be in London earlier in the week and AS there tomorrow. It’s bound to be ‘owner-related’ isn’t it – they’ll be at Seymour Pierce, undoubtedly.

…and I’d be totally gobsmacked if any of our players jumped ship to the filth. All tabloid sh1te I reckon.

Rodzilla – Real take the mick because they know no matter what goes wrong financially the Spanish government will bail them out as they’re a national insitution – like they did during the Zidane/Figo era. It’s sad but true. Athletico fans must do their nut.

rod- i also see on ssn that fabregas is kinda hinting that he’d be open to a move to madrid aswell! apparently they have arranged credit of up to 800million with various creditors in madrid! ridiculous considering they are already 100’s of millions on debt!
