Joey Barton is set to make his return to Newcastle in a pre-season friendly against Shamrock Rovers Saturday.

Joey Barton-Will play for Magpies again
This news is hardly surprising considering that he has been at all of the pre-season training sessions. However what does this say about Alan Shearer’s future with the club?
It seemed that Joey Barton’s Newcastle days were over after his bust-up with Shearer in the locker room following the loss to Liverpool. Is Barton’s involvement on Saturday a sign that Shearer has no say in what is currently going on at Newcastle? It has been widely speculated that Shearer will be appointed once a new owner is found and that Alan still has input in regard to players.
This could mean that Alan has decided that Joey will get another chance, or it could also signal that Alan really has no connection to the current situation at Newcastle. Whatever the case, Joey Barton seems to be making his return this Saturday-a sight many fans thought they would never see.

Concidering the dosh we pay him week after week, even when he is in the Nick. If we cant currently sell this thug thats under contract, we might as well try and get something for the top heavy wage he is paid by playing him. Most fans dont get half what he’s paid in a week as their anual salary.
Even top premiership clubs cant afford to pay that…and he knows it.

Yeah, Joey is certainly the poster child for all that is wrong with our club. Over paid, under plays. But if no one wants to pick him up then things could be worse… He is a class player when he actually uses his brain and would be very usefull in the centre of the park for us this year… Pity he such a moron though…
On another note.. Great bowling display England, 1 wicket all day. Surely there must be some South African quick out there that you can adopt as your own. Maybe he might be able to pick up a wicket for you guy’s.. Ha Ha

I haven’t been posting for a long while…and thought I’d wait until I finally had something to cheer about. But Joey Barton in the black n white AGAIN? This really takes the cake. How fast we forget.
Oh just please get a new buyer for the club and start moving forward again. I don’t even care if we don’t get promotion next season just stop all the absurdness going on at the club.

He hardly played last year, the team is just auditioning him for interested parties. Remember how much run Luque got in preseason two years ago?

He has to be fit to be moved on, its already been stated by Hughton that everyone traveling will play at some stage in the match so the story is no big scoop.
My six year old grandson could write some of these newspaper headlines, they get their wages for nowt.

Its unfortunate, but he has to be put in the shop window to be sold. Its as simple as that. No need to look into it any deeper.
I’m convinced his time here is limited (fingers crossed!), but he has to be fit to be sold.
I hope he plays fantastic, so we can get some decent wedge for him lol.
