Kazenga LuaLua, the exciting midfield prospect for Newcastle, has spoken about his desire to play first team football this season.
Kazenga LuaLua-Excited about his prospects this year
Kazenga’s statement is as follows:
“Right wing, left wing or in the middle – I don’t mind where I play. If Chris wants me to play in any position, I can’t refuse – I just want to play football.
I don’t mind playing anywhere for this club, and I can give the manager different options.
I can play in centre midfield or up front, but I prefer to play on the wings, because I like to take people on and cross the ball, or have a shot. I also like to come inside.”
This is a great attitude displayed by this youngster who has dynamic ability. I’m sure his skill will be utilized this season as Newcastle are currently lacking in this department. LuaLua is definitely, along with Nile Ranger, one of the prized assets of Newcastle’s youth academy and has been since his arrival in 2005. We’ll see what part plays in tonight’s friendly against Leeds.

If the embargo is over, then presumably either
1. a sale is imminent (the buyer has agreed the sale)
or
2. the sale has collapsed and MA is gearing up to get a new manager and buy and sell a few players before the season starts …
… I know which I would prefer …

Comment #46WE paid 10M for him and the escape clause is 13M – another Ashley master stroke. You can clearly see he has a great head for business.

Comment #51Aren’t we due about £20m from the sales of Nzogbia, Given and Milner this summer?
Thought they would have covered the short fall from tv money.

Comment #52there was no transfer embargo, just another hamfisted attempt by ashley to appease people when nothing was coming in/out. soon as some cash gets waved in front of his nose he accepts, relegation hadnt hit home for me but now one of my favourite players is leaving my anger is just growing and growing at ashley.

Comment #54hitman-nee one probably. Nile Ranger, lol. Keep in mind SSN “understands” a fee has been agreed. If that is the case though, then god knows whats going on. My guess would be the fire sale. 10 days to go until the season kicks off, no one out, no one in. 10 mil waved infront of Ashley and he says “bugger the embargo” (if there even was one)…sad to see Oba go but everyone was under the impression that he was one of the lads who had to be shown the door if i canny price was offered. Not even if i a canny price was offered, he just had to go to pick up the wages. Sounds like Barton has been good the night.

Comment #56there was also talk of imminant sale with DG too. I wonder if it is with the blessing of the new guys, or whether the penny has dropped that getting high earners off the wage bill is a positive thing in terms of attracting a buyer

Comment #58Raffo-did David Craig mention the sale? Not that we can beleive a word he says cos he’s ususally a canny distance from the truth aswell but its interesting to speculate none the less. We apparently might be “forced” to use our final sub for the night, Ryan Donaldson. With only 11 minutes of a friendly left, get him on i say, what bloody harm can it do. It shouldnt be forced at all, give the lad a run out.

Comment #61Well sorry to see martins go but 9 Mill aint a bad sum of money, I expect there’ll be more to follow by the end of the week! Interesting to think what’s going to happen to the money though, whether it goes towards buying players or into Ashley’s back pocket!
Anyway cheers Oba, IMO best player we’ve had in the past couple of years! That goal at Spurs a couple of years ago was magical!!!

Comment #64Tom-lets be honest, he gave 100% but he was guilty of missing just as many sitters as the likes of Owen and co. He was nowhere near clinical enough. Trust me i didnt want to see him go, he’s a fan favourite, but 9 mil is good money and the harsh reality of it is, this is the position we’re in. Players like him have to go, whether we like it or not.

Comment #66Ryan- i reckon it was purely down to the fact he’s taken grief from the leeds end all night. From what i’ve heard through the dodgy Chron commentary i’d have given it to Barton or Kazenga like.

Comment #72Raffo-sadly we’ve heard it all before, even from DC but either way if the Martins story is true then it shows something is happening. Whether its what we want is a different story like. It could maybe just mean Ashley has suddenly realised how long he’s sat around doing nowt for and is now desperatly looking to make some of his filthy cash back.

Comment #79Any money from the fire sale will not be re invested in the team. The same was true of the money for Milner and Given.
Expect anyoffer to to be accepted as FatAsh attempts to recoup his cash and then walk away – either selling the club at a greatly reduced price (40Million) or administration

Comment #80just sick of all this shit, this better be a good sign about martins going regarding a takeover coz theres no way ashley will invest ever again in us, so we need this takeover or we are 100 fukced.
