Couldn't have put it better myself Archie. I've been trying to express those sentiments since last week. I took a moment aside for myself, but that's my business.

As for the footy; I wonder what odds I'll get on us getting relegated two years on the trot. What the hell is going on?

Last season we beat WBA twice but since then, they have a new manager, new players & have an owner who's willing to back their new manager, so just because we beat them last season, doesn't mean we'll beat them this season, especially as we have a half dozen players who don't really want to be at the TOON anymore & probably won't care one way or the other if we win, lose or draw, as we have no manager to geer them up for the game, well fcuking done Ashley your w anker!!!

Actually, Rangerman, it is Ashley's fault no one wants to buy NUFC. Financially we look like a bottomless pit. So he can't sell the club and he won't fund the losses, how obvious does it have to get.

good point punk skunk some people seem too forget they were even worse than we were last season along with Boro . First game up against a team that finished lower than us , in my opinion we could have had a much harder start than this .

nile ranger would be more than able to play against west brom, he is more able than shola ameobi who simply isnt good enough to lead the line by himself, and a 5 man midfield isnt the way to go IMO cos none of our midfielders score goals.

Nile Ranger won't start at West Brom and rightly so. He wouldn't be able for it, just yet.
West Brom has to be Shola Ameobi on his own with a 5 man midfield.

Diamond Billionaire or not, get it sorted.
We should be sold by now. If we're sold before the Brom game then I'll still be happy and it will have meet a "deadline" as far as I'm concerned.

Ed, we get it, you don't like Ashley, but it is getting a bit stale now. Every article has your less than subtle dig in it.

so we're being bought by Malaysians, Chinese, South Africans, Americans, Iranians, some tosser from Sunderland with a black and white scarf, Freddy Shepherd, Sheikh Mohammed and of course the We Want To Make A Profit group from Singapore.

I haven't mentioned those comedians from NUSC, who think that because they have tee-shirts printed it makes them someone special, or the consortium of 20 businessmen with 5 million each, who theoretically could buy the club, but wouldn't have enough left to pay the electric bill.
Or was it 5 million businessmen with 20 quid each?

And then there's Alan Oliver who considers himself the voice of NUFC, or at least hid did when they had a voice.

Finally - don't get me wrong - SBR was a legend, not just in the North East - but looking back on Diana's death I always thought that thousands of people turning up and crying in the streets for someone they never knew and never met only achieved one thing - to show the rest of the world how detached from reality we were as a nation. A nation of soap opera watchers who wouldn't shed a tear for their own family but have not problem howling in public when a princess or a pop star dies.

Please don't disrespect the memory of such a fine human being as SBR by turning it into a Princess Di, or Michael Jackson type carnival.

The neverending train of minutes of silence at grounds all over the country because the linesman's cat died has turned the whole idea into a joke.
We should not need to be told how, where or when to show respect.
