Is The Mike Ashley Nightmare To Continue For Newcastle Fans?

After we were relegated on May 24th, if someone had come in and tried to put Newcastle in the terrible state we find ourselves now, it’s hard to believe they could have done such a devastating job, as  Mike Ashley has over these last 10 weeks.

mike ashley -943346955

Mike Ashley – is the nightmare to continue?

The club is only now beginning to sell players we just cannot afford, and we have had no manager in place at all this summer, and nobody has even started to think about how the squad should be strengthened.

No, Mike has outdone himself these last 10 weeks by making the biggest mess of a club we have seen for a long long  time. Unfortunately that club is ours – Newcastle United.

And this guy is the owner, no less.

If Ashley doesn’t sell the Newcastle club very soon, then the very best we have in store for us as fans,  is more of the same.

That means more incompetence, more of not talking to the fans or the players,  and a complete lack of understanding of  what it takes to run a football club.

And Mike it seems cannot look beyond Joe Kinnear as the manager, and he has had no intention at all of giving the job to a certain Alan Shearer.

After all,  Alan may even clear the mess up, or at least try to.

If an announcement is made shortly that Mike will indeed keep the club for another year, then that will be the worst  news possible for Newcastle United fans everywhere.

Heaven help us – somebody help us.

I think we have to get used to the idea that Ashley aint going anywhere.

Lets take to one side he off pitch stuff and look at the pitch side.

If ever we needed the team to stand up and be counted its this season. We must get off to a good start.

I do think Smith and Barton have the attitude to take us forward in the championship.

Probably with yellow’s and red like but hey (joke) 🙂

Concern aint the word. What do you do for the best – boycott, protest, turn up, sing out?

I for one wont give up on the team and will be f****d if that fat p rick and his voiceless gimp side kick will stop me from doing that.

Ashley wont show face back in SJP. I really dont think it would be wise (no punn) if he did. I really think that we (the toon army faithfull) have had enough.

Bear this in mind to – the press are so waiting for us to be beat on Saturday – thats why we must win!

Im really pis s ed off today – can you tell!

Ashely wont appoint Shearer as it was after listening to Alans plans that he put the club up for sale again.
He does not want to be part of any progressive plan for this club that involves extra investment, he had the chance to move the club on in the Premier League but wouldnt put the cash in.

Can Ashley seriously do anything right? Even if he wanted to sell the club after the season, he should have immediately named Shearer as manager, provided some transfer kitty, and allowed Shearer to get the wage bill under control, all while putting the team up for sale. What would have been wrong with that? Did he think he could sell a Championship club with huge wage bill and questionable (at best) finances in 2 weeks?

What else can he screw up? Is he going to wreck his car into a bus full of school children on his way out of town after selling the club?

Mike Ashley, May : “Bringing Alan Shearer back to Newcastle United was the best decision I have made. Talks are now ongoing between us about how we can take this club forward again.”

Comments by Mike Ashley regarding AS since this date = none.

It’s all gone quiet.. AS on holiday with a view to resuming life on the MOTD sofa with barely a whimper…

Meanwhile – the divs in charge seem to be running from wall to wall in their self imposed asylum cage with claim after claim regarding the protracted takeover with nay semblance of competence.

Let’s not forget – football, for all we are angry about it, is something we can almost forgive them for knowing feck all about. But looking like even bigger buffoons at business affairs and PR?

Does nobody else think that AS has this man – for possibly the first time in the fat pesky bastard’s greedy lifetime – by the short and curlies?

If Ashley does decided to stay, I think not only should he get a new manager in, I think he should also replace LlameAss too, because he’a about as useful as a chocolate fireguard!!

So if Ashley wants to get this club back upto the PL, he needs to get the proper people in at the top & then let them bring in the correct players!!

Why on earth did JFK decide to open his gob at this time? He normally has a hidden agenda but what? Maybe he knows someone is about to be appointed manager at NUFC so gets in first with this bombshell that puts Alan out of the frame. One can only assume, if this is the case, that it was only for his ego.

    ——————————–

Is he really now?? I think YOU need to remember what he said, back in June, when he said then, that the club would be sold by the end of the month/beginning of July, so I don’t know how you have got it into your head that he is totally honest and believable?

    From footylatest.com:
The vast majority of Newcastle fans will be breathing a huge sigh of relief now the club have come out and denied that they have offered Joe Kinnear a two year contract.

Make no bones about it Kinnear is not liked in Newcastle, in fact he is despised and the last thing the Toon Army wanted to hear was that he would be back in charge.

Kinnear himself has said he was offered a new contract while the club have said that these reports are very wide of the mark and no contract has been offered.

Someone is lying but it is doubtful that the much suffering Newcastle fans give a damn who is the liar as long as Kinnear is not making a comeback.

But while ever Ashley owns the club the fans have to expect the unexpected, Ashley has consistently made decisions that just did not go down well with the fans and he never ever seemed to learn from his mistakes.

What price EL Tel next Newcastle boss?

The club may have not put a formal written contract in front of Kinnear but discussions clearly took place.
That tells you a sale wasnt near 2 weeks ago and i doubt anything has changed.
Ashley has to have a contingency plan if the club isnt sold-Kinnear is someone who would be grateful for a job and not demand anything.
Ashley has now decided that its unlikely he can shift a club with a 60m wage bill so he better start moving some players on-why this wasnt happening in July-a cock up probably to add to the ever growing list.

i think shearer rejected the job after finding out that ma would not invest in the club, which would lead to mid table finish, thus ruining shearer’s rep as a manager and no blame on the owner. just like what happened with KK. only God knows whats gonna happen next.

Just get on with our lives and wait until Ashley has gone.

I wouldnt be surprised to see the club half a football club and half a casino after this season is over, I think he has plans for the building, I wonder if he could do it when we are a championship club or would he have to wait until we are down another league?

Shut a stand, add it the conference rooms and use it as a casino.

    What do you reckon?

He must have a plan, even if you took the dopiest person off the street they would not be this bad at running a club, so there must be reasons behind this.

As for sale of players it will as always only be the decent players, same old.

We may be watching the end of Newcastle United.

Interesting point, maybe a little plan between all 3. Ashley, Llambias and Kinnear to get the new owners moving along swiftly so they can appoint their own manager should they buy it.

Either that, or Kinnear’s being a real gent and it trying to speed up the takeover for Newcastle’s sake.

Now, which one could it be?

What good would it do to sell the club at the end of the month as it is the close of the transfer window, or is that the plan.
Lets face reality folks, there will be no new players coming in, lets not kid ourselves and remember the transfer windows under Ashley, that is the reality.

I seem to remember you running an article about how if he were appointed Shearer would have sold 10 players and brought in 13 younger players. Is that correct?

Shearer must have been asking for a hell of a wage if Ashley won’t even consider him for a short term caretaker role till the club is ”mythically” sold.

I don’t think there will be a sale until after the transfer window.

The club will be a lot more attractive to a buyer once the big earners have gone. They will want them earners to have gone before they complete I’m sure.

That’s pretty much what Keith Harris said last night too.

Lets just go for Wenger – he’s perfect and could step in straight away and feel at home due to 3 reasons below

1 – used to selling his best players (yup toon can do that)
2 – used to not getting money for transfers (yup toon can do that)
3 – has a good crop of youngsters (yup toon can do that)

Stuart79 – it may be more attractive to buyers but not the life blood of the club, the fans.
I saw the comments from Ian Wright saying it will be the test of our supposed loyalty this season but excuse me, we have been watching sub standard football for three plus seasons now, thats the only reason fans are dwindling away.
There has to be a balance as no team equals no fans.
