Richard Money seems to have a wealth of young stars at Newcastle right now, and these lads will be given every chance to push through to the first team squad in the Championship this season.
Richard Money – very pleased with youngsters in pre-season
The young Newcastle Reserve side retained their 100% summer record after last night’s 4-2 victory at Blyth Spartans.
Haris Vuckic, Wesley Ngo Baheng, Kazenga LuaLua and Nile Ranger all scored last night, in what was an impressive performance from the youngsters.
And a delighted Richard Money talked about the youngsters after the game:
“I thought we played very well and it was a good game.” “I thought Blyth were very energetic and had some good movement up top and we had to defend pretty well at times.”
“But some our passing and movement and attacking play was excellent.” “Our first goal was a great strike from Harris and the move for the goal was top drawer.”
“The first 20 minutes of the second half were terrific and we got another two good goals.” “I’ve said before that we’ve got some very good young players.”
“How ready they are to play in the first team, time will only tell, but I think a few of them could be arriving this year. “I think they can all be pleased with their efforts this pre-season.”
These lads will all get their chance to be aoprt of the first team squad next season, as it seems like time is running out for the club to buy new players before the transfer season ends at the end of the month.
In any case Mike Ashley needs to appoitna new manager before any new recruits can be brough into the Tyneside club.
What a terrible way to prepare for our first season in the English second division for 20 years.
