Who Will Build Newcastle Squad In Next 26 Days?

Push is coming to shove right now and we just don’t think it will be possible to sell the Newcastle club this summer.

joe kinnear

Joe Kinnear – will he be back as manager soon?

So hopefully Mike Ashley will turn his attention to appointing a full time manager, while there is still time left for him to build the squad, before time completely runs out.

The bet has to be Mike will again turn to Joe Kinnear, since the coaching staff of Chris Hughtion and Colin Calderwood have worked with Joe before, and he is the obvious choice, even though The Times is suggesting this morning that will not happen.

However, the BBC is reporting that Joe has said he has been offered a two year contract by Mike Ashley, to come in and attempt to rescue the club from the terrible mess it is now in.

If that news is true we would expect Joe to be announced fairly quickly, and possibly  before Saturday’s game at WBA.

This will be another kick up the behind for Alan Shearer from Mike, but we don’t expect Mike to appoint Alan, after waiting 10 weeks and keeping him in the dark about everything going on with the Newcastle sale.

This is an awful way to run a football club, and the Newcastle club have suffered enormously because of Mike’s total incompetence during the summer.

However, we have nothing against Joe Kinnear personally, other than he’s not the greatest manager in the world.

After all, the man did nearly kill himself in the Newcastle cause earlier this year, and he’s an honest worker and only trying to do his very best for the club.

It’s hard to fault him for that.

But with 88% of our readers wanting Shearer in as the new manager, we have to think the appointment will not be well received by the Newcastle faithful.

If the appointment happens that is, as nothing is certain at the Newcastle club any more.

Comments welcome.

    JFK is not coming back.

I would imagine it will either be Curbs or well who knows.

    JKF will not return.

I’m only going to listen to Keith Harris now I think.

I’ll give it until the end of this month and see if were sold.

my thinking on the situation, they enquired if he was fit enough to take on a caretaker role while the club is sold he says hes not. mail gets wind of this they say jfk returning newcastle issue statement saying nope hes not, jfk reminds people he exists to try and get work when it becomes available

Right, I havent posted on here for quite some time due to the on going shambles at Newcastle United.

JFK was on TalkSport this morning talking about how he has been offered a 2 year contract…..

JFK WAS offered a 2year contract before he took his turn for the worse, so he isn’t lying about that. However, doest that contract offer still stand right here and now?

With the numpty bragade still at the helm of NUFC who knows…..

The quotes on the BBC website make it sound like JFK was offered the job only a couple of weeks ago…

    If anyone’s not seen it.

I’d like to hear the interview for myself as the written quotes could be from any time really and just dredged up to heap more suffering onto us.

I’ll say this about Kinnear though, I wouldn’t trust him to tell me the fkn time.

It is becoming seriously depressing supporting NUFC, a club run (or not) by a bunch of tossers who could organise a wank in a brothel.

If Dignitas were to run a discount service for us poor beleagured Toon fans at the end of this season, they will be looking to make a lot of money!?!

I heard the interview, had to pull over at the time incase i crashed!

I think he is just putting his name out there, looking for work at ANY club tbh.

By saying that he was offered a contract of two years by NUFC he may well get other clubs to sit up and take note.

He hasn’t lied, he WAS offered that deal prior to his heart attack, he just bent the truth to make it sound like he has just been offered it, which I dont think he has …

I am a fool; every day I read the blog hoping that breaking news appears about the club is being sold. And I cannot help it but every time I hope to see something appear, but every time it is a big disappointment. Why are they noe honnest with us?

    1. Lliambarse tells us more offers reach the £100m. => nothing further happens
    2. How many potential buyers have been given (Profitable; Malaysia; …). => nothing further happens
    3. The Iranian dude shows up and Lliambarse telling the club should be sold within a week. => now for the first time rumours a bout MA staying for another year. Why oh why? Now he starts to realise something has to happen, cause you know what; the season starts in 3 days…

We are run by a bunch of donkeys who show no interest in the club at all. Where did the Newcastle fans deserve this mess, which is going on for more than a year now???

He also said that the leading bid for the club was £75 Million …….

The buying parties are trying to have Fatty over a barrel (I take some comfort in that) even thou’ I wish the club would change hands ASAP.

But doesn’t Joe’s words fly in the face of Ashley’s assertion that he wouldn’t want to appoint a manager that a buyer may not want?

Doesn’t this call for an official denial and an instruction to joe that he keeps his mischeavous trap well and truly shut?

    C’mon Mike, let’s hear it, we’re waiting!

I do hope that Shearer gets the job because he will get the majority of fans behind him and most importantly we will give him time to get the job done. It will also mean SJP will full again.

I quite like both Alan Curbishley and Steve Coppell but they wouldn’t be given the time to get it right.

I think Steve Coppell did a great job at Reading but I think that is the type of club he needs. He couldn’t stand the pressures at Man City and walked away after a few weeks; just imagine the pressures he would be under at Newcastle.

If we couldn’t have Shearer it would have to be Curbishley.

    Don’t mention O’leary.

don’t any of you listen properly??? neither kinnear or the club are lying. the club admitted they held talks with kinnear a couple of weeks back regarding him coming back, kinnears doctor said he wudnt be fit enough for another couple of months, but ashley wanted a manager in for the start of the season so he then decided against bringing him back in
