More bad news from the Newcastle club today as it is learned that bad boy Joey Barton has walked out on Newcastle and will not play at WBA today.
Joey Barton walked out on Newcastle
When Joe Kinnear was at the club there were signs of indiscipline with players turning up late to training and the like and this latest affair makes things even worse – and we haven’t even kicked a ball in anger yet this season.
Shearer had brought some discipline to the side and was ready to let Barton leave the club, but Barton is still here and so in the lack of discipline it seems. And of course Shearer is no longer at the club.
Barton is not expected to play against West Brom today after walking out of the club’s training ground last night.
It is understood that the Liverpudlian had a disagreement with Argentine pair Fabricio Coloccini and Jonas Gutierrez, before storming off the training field.
It means that Chris Hughton had to make changes to the side for the West Brom game.
We would expect Hughton to now start with local lads Andy Carroll and Shola Ameobi up front, with Kevin Nolan dropping back into midfield after expecting to start in the hole, probably behind Shola up front.
But we would suggest the owner get back from Hawaii soon and sort out this terrible mess at his club, before we lose the chance of promotion and before the club completely implodes.
It’s a complete disgrace.

Comment #4What’s the source of this story? I don’t see anything elsewhere. Am I missing it?

Comment #5As i said on the previous thread, pretty pathetic like. God knows what happens but to just walk off at a time like this just proves he has a b@ll@cks attitude like. Considering he looked one of our best players in pre season, its just yet another frustrating, needless setback. He’s on the bench like, but i doubt we’ll see him unless something goes wrong like. (no doubt it will)

Comment #6He shouldn’t of walked off, especially so close to gametime, but I have a feeling the Argies are the only ones left causing crap and Joey being Joey just lost it at them. Walked out before doing anything more stupid!
Jonas has really let me down, thought he was a bigger man than this, I realise he wants out but his attitude has been deplorable since the drop and as for that fraud Colloccini, how he still gets a game is beyond me, he is worst than Bramble when he was here!
I really do not know anymore!

Comment #7Aussie-regardless of what happened mate, if he wanted to be the bigger man he should have kept his trap shut and got on with his job. If he had to leave the field through fear of battering yet another team mate then what does that say about him!?..
I’ve defended Barton through everything, absolutly everything. But with the state of the club and pathetic stories like this surfacing im losing all patience with the likes of him aswell. Stupidest thing is he was one of the only players that i thought actually wanted to still be here and try and help.

Comment #8Quick question:
We all want us to win but what result will be the best for the sale of the club?
If we win will Ashley think ‘oh I will keep them and get promotion and then sell’ or will the potential owners think it’s a better proposition than we thought.
If we get hammered it might give Ashley a shock and hurry him up but it might also put new owners off.

Comment #9BBC 5 live report that Joey Barton had had a “bust-up” with Newcastle caretaker boss Chris Hughton and will start on the bench against West Brom in the late kick-off. Plus ca change…

Comment #11Stuart-i’d opt for the win and only the win. If we get off to a bad start in the CCC that can spiral. Any confidence that was there will drop and potential buyers will see a club not only in a complete mess off field from top to bottom, but a team on the field slipping down the league at rapid rate. We need a good start to let potential buyers see that we can do it on the field if they clean up behind the scenes. I think Ashley is past actually wanting to keep the club, if he keeps it, it will be forced. If he gets the money he wants up front, he’ll sell.

Comment #12What a git. let him off.
He’s had far too many chances.
Pity like, because we could’ve used him today.

Comment #14i have always been supportive of barton because i thought the lad had a little heart unlike many other players.
But if he really walked out on us a day before the game, we should cancel his contract.

Comment #20Typical tamtrum from Barton and was hoping we could get something out of the bloke in the Coca Cola. OK. Impound his pram, confiscate his dummy, and lock up his sweetie box. Then sack the prat.

Comment #22Sure Shearer said he’d spoke to a couple of consortiums just then.
But he also said it doesn’t look like anyone wants the club!

Comment #23Just get rid and have done with it. Joey is never going to cast a good karma over anywhere he goes. Just cut our losses. Surely by now we have million things any half way decent lawyer could get him kicked out for. Enough is surely enough.

This story has been proven to be a lot of rubbish. Do the decent thing and delete it and stop giving ammo to all the National newspapers to slag our club off.
Like you, they pick their stories from News Now and they often jump on stories written by “sensationalists” such as yourself.
