Aye, he certainly had his work cut out in the second half and looks the business, he commits himself well. But you have to say he looked a bit dodgy coming out for that offside “goal”.

Definately impressed a those who have never seen him before in action before, me included.

Noo hey, divvn’t ye tell ashley he’s any good mind or he’ll be selling him to the mancs before you can say “Hello David O’Leary, welcome back to Leeds!”

I feel bad for Stevie Harper, who IMHO is just as good a stopper as Shay. How’s his heed anyway?

Well if Houghton has said Harper will be straight back then that really proves why will struggle this year and did last. YOU NEED TO PICK PLAYERS ON FORM. Krul had a stormer needs to stay Colo and R Taylor had a stinker ship out if possible with Kadar replacing one andnot sure if the other could be replaced.

lets not get carried away – his saves were good but his ability at crosses needs to be worked on, he flapped at quite a few on sat.
Saying that I thought Harper could have done better with the goal – to be honest if they have collo and taylor (r) in front of them they’re gonna be very busy this season

I was going to say, can we all not just take a wee breath and a step back. He made 4 good saves. But ffs, that’s nothing special. If we’re honest most other keepers, every half decent keeper could have made those saves. Not to mention he flapped a wee bit on a few occasions. Yet a video of his saves is put up like he just won us the Premiership, you’d never think that it was just the first game of the CHAMPIONSHIP against West Brom.
We didn’t put up videos of every save Given made, or Harper for that matter, I don’t see why we should with Krul. We’re getting carried away. We’re trying to look at the positives, these tiny positive in one massive negative atmosphere. And it’s not working.
The lad did well in his debut in the Championship with Newcastle, but ffs lets not get carried away, it wasn’t anything special.

Reillers, i think your forgetting just how young Krul is.

Yeah given was outstanding for us, but was he as good as krul is now at 21? which was the age of given when he first joined us. Krul has the potential to be quite abit better than Given, not due to his shot shopping and reflexes, but the added bonus of being a couple of inches taller.

So when young talent is shown on the pitch, of course its applauded and rightly so. Same with Arsenal’s Jack Wilshire in pre season.

If krul was to get a season or 2 under his belt with us, he will gain the attention of the top clubs quicker than you can say boo

I don’t know I’ve seen Krul play a handful of times, like we all have, I just think we’re all going a bit over the top.
And people’s saw Given’s potential when he was 14 playing with his clubs men team. If you meet anyone from there they’ll argue that the greatest save the lad has ever made was for them in a semi final all those years ago.
Anyway this has nothing to do with wee Given. This is just about Krul, and like I said, he played well, made 3/4 good saves, but there’s no need to go over the top.
We didn’t put up video after video of Given’s saves in a match or Harper’s. Not even when it was something special, and I don’t see why we should for Krul, all he did was his job.

What the hell is wrong with all you guys??????????

Tim Krul is 21 plays under Edwin Van Dar Sar who teaches him an lot. Tim Krul is going to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He saved our asses on saturaday. I think if we had Christiano Ronaldo next to messi you guys would still ask for more………………………… Tim gave us that point on Saturaday. Give him some credit at least. The only way that guy scored an header on Tim Krul is because he was offsides. If i was offsides than 90% goal.
