Mystery Consortium To Buy Newcastle – Don’t Beleive It

Derek Llambias on Friday said that Barry Moat was the only game in town with the possibility of buying the Newcastle club.

nufc-crest

But that hasn’t stopped the local Sunday Sun today from saying a mystery consortium believe they can do a deal for the club soon, whatever is said by the club tomorrow.

They say the group concerned have been in direct talks with Ashley’s representatives rather than dealbrokers Seymour Pierce, and this is a follow up from last week – “when they reveled the existance of the mystery buyer.”

We would be inclined to dismiss this report as complete nonsense. It was a story lacking credibility last week, and after what’s happened in the last 7 days even more pointless to bring it up again.

If they are dealing directly with Ashley, you would have thought Llambias would know all about it, wouldn’t you?

In fact the mystery buyer is mysterious – only because they don’t exist and never have.

But real facts never seem to get in the way of some of these Sunday stories do they?

Comments welcome.

Could have sworn that Lambias said there was other consortiums further down the road than Mort’s Bid. BTW has anybody got any info on Ben Zion Robinowitz – Mort’s supposed backer

I’m looking forward to tomorrow a lot. It’s going to be like christmas day. Only instead of that big red fire truck, it might be a disappointment and might be like getting socks.

I’ve watched the Ryan Taylor goal a fair few times now, it’s on Youtube.

They are all a mystery, cause they dont exist.
Stop grasping at straws, is it not obvious that the money to buy the club is just not there.
    It`s the economy stupid .
The only possibility would be a cash rich middle eastern oil man.
Another point is who the feck wants to buy a club in the sunny north east, most buyers would prefer a London club or one with a worldwide fan base.
No, aint gonna happen, get used to Mike, he`s gonna be around for a while.

The club will not be sold…..

Ashley will keep club – probably stick with hughton as it’ll save cost of bringin in another manager. Sell S Taylor for some stupid fee like 5 mil…. enrique will prob go….. so’all smithy. We’ll be left with an average team…. hughton will buy a few players but they’ll be average champ players (like robert pissing earnshaw)…. ashley will realise next season when we dont get promo that he’ll need to sell…. drag out another sale…. eventually sell for less than 100mil…. and we’ll have to start from scratch.

    That’s my prediction anyway.

I am just fed up and sick to death of the ongoings (off the pitch) at newcastle. It’s not fair how our team is winning (2nd place in champ) and yet I still feel depressed and bummed out about the whole situation.

    Please sell ashely.

Chin up mate, we got to hope for the best and if it does not happen we have to hope Ashley makes the right decisions for a change by bringing in a manager like Coppell, keeping Taylor,Enrique,Jonas and Smith ooh and i like the look of Simpsons also he has played well in the last few games he has played and hopefully Ashley can bring in a few loan signings and bring in Lovenkrands,Beckford,Skejlbred and wait for it D.Wheater. All a pipe dream and a very slim chance of something similar happening but here’s to an ever hoping toon fan.

The funny thing is, Mike Ashley (allthough completly incompetent) has done so many things to try and please (the loudest) fans:

Sacking Sam because we didn’t like the style of play, hiring Keegan, putting the club up for sale, hiring Shearer…

I would’nt put it past him to try and hire Shearer again if he stays.

Come what may, let’s get on with it!

Robinowitz family from Texas cant think moat could have any links with them unless moat is Jewish but i don’t think any of the family have an interest in football so if true they would have an agenda to fulfill

I reckon Llambias is actually the theme park groundskeeper and his real identity will be revealed at the end when his scary mask is taken off by Thelma.

Ashley hasn’t got the first clue about football. He bought us to show off to his rich mates (if he has any) in London. I dont care if Moat has to have a garden sale to buy us. Anyone who says Ashley should stay just because he has more money should stop supporting this club now.

Speaking of funny things, i think our disgusting away strip is actually a blessing in disguise.

I think the players go out on the pitch in that strip expecting to get the pi*s ripped out of them, so they have been thinking they better start performing to silence the crowd.

M.Stockley – We deffo need morre players, more league games this season and if we progress in either of the cups we will need to rest players. I’ve got a horrible feeling we are going to sell 3 more though and only buy/loan 2-3. I think we need 5 more players in the squad.
