We expect at least three of our impressive youngsters, to start the Carling Cup game against Huddersfield tomorrow night.
Tamas Kadar – should make debut tomorrow
With Newcastle to play 5 games in 14 days before the International break, it will be important to give some of our players a rest before the important home game against Leicester City on Saturday.
Then the players (or some of them), have 2 weeks off for the International break to recharge their batteries.
And the youngsters need blooding for another reason, because it looks like the club will need to rely on them, when we get our usual spate of injuries this season.
So we half expect Tim Krul, Tamas Kadar and Kazenga LuaLua to start tomorrow night, with a number of the youngsters again on the bench. We would also expect Nile Ranger to get a run-out tomorrow.
This game tomorrow is not as important as Championship games, but we still want to win it, if only to maintain the winning momentum on the playing field.
It’s going to be interesting to see the team Chis plays, but he will ber very determined to get 2 more wins in the next couple of games, before getting a short but well deserved rest.
Of course off the field Newcastle are playing Russian roulette, and the longer they wait for Moat to make a deal the worse it will get.
As we said this morning the longer this goes on, the more it looks like Moat will be buying something he just cannot afford.
He’ll be like the family that buys a huge house they cannot really afford, and everything they earn goes towards their mortgage payment, and they cannot even afford to buy too much furniture.
Replace the house above with Newcastle, and the furniture with players, and you see what we mean.
On the bright side, it’s a great chance for some of the youngsters to prove just how good they are at this level.
