Newcastle Get Peterborough Away In Carling Cup


Newcastle United have been drawn away to Peterborough United in the Third Round of the Carling Cup.   Ties will be played week commencing Monday, September 21.

Liverpool will travel to old rivals Leeds United, Preston are at home to Premier League Tottenham, while Portsmouth face a long trip to League One Carlisle.

There are five all-Premier League ties with holders Manchester United hosts to recently promoted Wolves.

In the pick of the other ties, Chelsea host west London rivals QPR and Blackburn go to Nottingham Forest.

Leeds Utd v Liverpool

    Quality, just round the corner from me like, HORRIBLE little stadium, been there with northampton last season, worst ground than palace and that was a shocker! wooden seats! whats that aboot?

    Good draw for us. If we get through another 1 or 2 rounds, I think we should go for it? Why not? Fortune favours the brave.

    Great draw for us for once!!! Usually we’d get Arsenal for sure! Agree with Danish magpie, this would be great to keep this run going as long as we can get some players in before tuesday to help out, otherwise we would have to put out our U19 team!!!
