It was good to see Newcastle move today to complete as deal that takes Xisco to Racing Santandar for a season loan, and it was a good move for both the club and Xisco himself.
Peter Lovenkrands – set to sign?
There is now news that Skysports.com are reporting that our signing from Atalanta in January, 2008, Fabio Zamblera, looks set for a permanent move back to Italy with Roma.
Dennis Wise signed Zamblera but he’s one youngster who has never looked the part in England, and has never appeared for the first team.
Roma are expected to tie up a deal for the big striker before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.
And the Evening Chronicle are reporting that Xisco’s move will allow Newcastle to offer Lovenkrands a decent deal to come back to Newcastle.
Since Xisco was on around £50K/week it reduces the wage bill to bring in Lovenkrands, who we think will be a great signing for us – and will help us get back to the Premier League hopefully this season.
That’s if we can get him, but the chances have to be pretty good, And since peter can play on either wing and as a striker, he will get a lot of games at Newcastle this season – and he’s a classy player.
If these moves all go through they are smart moves by Newcastle – so far so good – but we need more players in.
And if Coloccini plays tonight, that must signal he’s going nowhere, and that will be good too, because Fabricio never seems to get injured, which will be great this season, since we have a small squad, at least until January.

Ashley is taking the p155 and the only thing theat will get the moron out if the club is money. He is using the good start on the pitch to hold out for 100M – with the amount of injuries we are picking up and the slow sale / loan of fringe players means that we are sure of at least another season in this league.

—————————————————————I’d disagree with that one Ed, normally that would be right as there is usually 1 club interested in the player and they ask the club not to play him as a deal is close, but deadline day is different as several clubs could come in at any point for the players, therefore i doubt the club would leave a player out as they may not have a clue who is willing to bid for them.
