Oh Danny Boy – Guthrie’s Winning Goal Last Night- Video

nufc-crest

Here is Danny Guthrie’s winning goal last night against Leicester City

Look how well young Ranger laid the ball off to him. But it’s poetry in motion from Danny boy.

That’s what pure class can get you.

The commentary is not in English but you get the idea. ūüėÄ

Pearson, formerly No2 at St. James’ to Glenn Roeder and Sam Allardyce, declared: “I don’t think there was a lot in the game.

“The goal we conceded wasn’t a good one from our perspective. Both sides turned the ball over too easily.. It was a game that was relatively open and either side could have won it – but you’ve got to take chances.

“It wasn’t a brilliant game – it’s a game we looked forward to and expected to get something out of and as far as we’re concerned it was a game that we could have come and won.”

How do you think ? If Guthrie’s goal is not the good one, what’s the good one ? It just a joke that with their lack of cutting edge but Pearson never see their weakness. Even we’re winning side but I still see the point we should improve next game. I will not surprise if they cannot get promote this season.

Sell Coloccini, Geremi, Butt, and Barton!

Bring in Armand Traore (loan), Senderos (loan), and L√łvenkrands (free), Gibson on loan if possible

    GK: Harper, Krul, Foster

    LB: Enrique, Traore
    RB: Simpson, R. Taylor
    CB: Taylor, Senderos, Kadar

    LW: Jonas, Traore
    RW: R. Taylor, LuaLua
    CM: Smith, Nolan, Guthrie

    ST: Shola, Carroll, L√łvenkrands, Ranger

    + all the youngsters

Thin squad? Yes. Heavily cut wage bill and some good quality in there

Quotes coming from Birmingham saying that Lovenkrands has been training with them but they don’t have the funds to offer him a contract. They also say that there IS an offer on the table from Newcastle and he will most likely end up with us…Fingers crossed!

attendance was 38,000 . Why Lovenkrands? is it because he costs nowt. That should not be the reason we sign players. There is a reason because he costs nowt and it is he does not have a club because he is useless

Is anyone else expecting our usual anticlimax deadline day? I will be shocked if we even get one
player in. Mike Ashley has gone too far not only has he condemned us to the championship, now he wants to keep us there. An absolute disgrace
It will be a miricale if chris can keep the squad fit all year.

Budaboom – Did you not watch the toon last season? Lovenkrands was one of our better players, and he cost nowt! What does that say about the rest of them? 12 appearances, 3 goals i think it was for Loven last season, not bad in a team the state we were in!

Senderos? Whoever said that needs a reality check! AC Milan to Newcastle, Champions League to Championship, it wont happen!

Irish Toon – be careful when telling it as it is or Toon Chicken will come on and bollock you for moaning, you need to go with the flow, cover your eyes with a scarf and put your fingers in your ears and sing la la la la all day, bit like Ashley and his bitch.

Deadline day ? more like dead-end…..
can’t believe nobody has come in to buy the place, must look a great prospect at this moment in time,
threadbare squad, nice concert style stadium, fans who turn up in their droves even when the game is on freeview, oh and top of the division…..
    any takers?

To be fair I think he is getting away pretty lightly for the mess he has caused.
I think as it was a tight match and as we are doing well the Fans are just supporting the team (and rightly so).

If the team was struggling I think it would be a different situation!

    Can anyone confirm this?

    ——————————–

It was reported that there were ‘yanks’ at the match and they were hoping to talk with Mike last night after the game.
It seems to have been widely reported so might be true but you just never know with all the rumours that come and go….

Lets hope something can be done…

As much as I think Ashley is a grade 1 pillock, and he is, he also gets blamed for stuff that is not his fault. The main reason the squad is as ‘paper thin’ as the cliche is the fact Barry Moat does not have the financial clout in terms of collateral that Cashley has – so the bank is re-negotiating accordingly. If Barry Moat was an oil Sheik and could buy the club without re-mortgaging it (which in effect is what is happening) there would have been no need for the panic sales.

On the positive side we have shed a lot of unwanted excess fat, but like all crash diets this one is now verging on anorexia. With the inexperienced subs bench our malnourished ribcage for all to see. So the easy way to beat NUFC the CCC way; hack them down first 30 minutes and force the kids on….

Seriously, if Moat still needs the club to shrink further to service the bank’s demands then he really should be shown the door, and maybe he could just about buy Blyth Spartans outright instead and help them emulate Gateshead’s promotion to the Conderence?

No offence, Barry, but it seems you simply can’t afford the club unless it jettisons the very resources that make it viable. A bit like buying a Merc, but on condition the garage puts a Rover engine in, a Halford’s radio and some remould tyres to bring the price down. If you are a supporter, surely you must realise your lack of financial muscle is exacerbating a crisis that would normally have killed any chances of promotion by now had it not been for Chris Hughton amazingly getting the defence together for the first time in decades? Remember, by rights, we should be in the bottom half – we have only managed 8 goals in 5 games!!

Put up or shut up, Barry. We ALL want rid of Cashley, but not at ANY PRICE!! I am dreading 5.01pm today and the list of players ‘…we tried hard to buy but failed…’, just like last January, eh…..?
