Dave Jones, the Cardiff City manager, believes the game against Newcastle is the biggest league game in years, “because of who we are playing.”
Dave Jones – biggest league game for years
The Welsh club will want to extend their 100% start at the new Cardiff City Stadium, against a side which has surprised many this season, by taking 13 points from the first 15 on offer.
Dave Jones said today:
“They’re a Premier League football club in this division,”
“I think this is one of the biggest league games this football club has had for many a year because of who we are playing.”
“Everybody wrote them off – the so-called experts not the people within the game.”
“They knew they had good players and the staff know their players because they’ve been there a while.”
“Nobody expected them to be as bad as what the experts were saying, because players have a lot of pride and 44,000 fans that turn up won’t allow them to go out on to the pitch and not perform.”
“Hopefully we can get the result we are all looking for. We are playing a very, very tough side who are top of the league.”
“They will want to stay there but we want to knock them off and get with them.”
There should be a terrific atmosphere at the game tomorrow, and we should expect Cardiff to start like a steam train.
There’s no doubt that Dave Jones will have his team ready for this game.
But the Magpies this year are a different team in terms of guts and team spirit, and even when they have been down this season, they come steaming back.
Cardiff are obviously one of the best teams in the division this season, and if Newcastle can get all 3 points, it will be a great win for the famous Tyneside club.
It’s hard to predict the result on Sunday, but we think the Coca Cola Championship will be the big winners, because we expect a great game in Cardiff on Sunday.
Comments welcome.

Comment #4To be fair nimo, I don’t think colo has looked too bad this season. Perhaps he is finally adapting to the weather over here? I still think he looks like a german heavy metal star from the 70’s like!

We’re set for a tough test and should we manager 3 points, it will be three very precious ones.

Correct Dave, apart from the “experts” bit. They weren’t experts, they were just idiots who don’t understand anything about football, or what can happen to a team when it doesn’t have consistent leadership.

I agree Johno, it’s a shame what materialised and what happened with his career, but glad to see him doing OK at Cardiff.

The Welsh are troublemakers? I’ve met a few Welshman over here (in the US) and they’ve all seemed like reasonable people. Matter of fact, the women’s “soccer” team at my old University employs a Welsh striker and she’s the leading goal scorer in our conference. Either way- I hope our people are safe and I’ll be crossin’ my fingers for 3 points!!

He said some sick joke about Callum Davenport, and someones either reported him or eds spotted it. Of course Rod wouldnt of thought of the consequences as he pretty much writes what he wants on heere

Comment #22That joke about Callum Davenport wasn’t all bad to be honest, I mean, his career’s safe, it wasn’t exactly a taboo. I mean sure, bad taste and all but by no means ban-worthy…although ofcourse that’s Ed’s decision not mine! Shame though
