Andy Carroll Wants Goals For Baby Carroll

Geordie striker Andy became a DFad for the first time a couple of days ago and he seems inspired to score more goals for the side.

Andy Carroll after scoring last night
Does the baby suck her thumb already?

Andy told Newcastle United TV today:

“I was over the moon to be back in the side and then to score the goal just a day after becoming a dad.”

“But, in the end, the result wasn’t what we wanted and we weren’t at our best throughout the whole game really.”

“It was better second-half but they probably deserved the win.”

And Andy of course is delighted with his newly arrived baby daughter, as the new Dad said:

“I’m delighted, I just wish the goal for her had been a winning one.”

“We haven’t named her yet, just Baby Carroll for the time being.”

“But she’s been fine, she slept all night before the game which was good – she must have known I had a match!”

“Hopefully, though, I can get another goal for her on Saturday against Plymouth.”

Let’s make that a couple of goals for Saturday Andy – we need to improve our goal difference.

Sounds like a good goal last night – hopefully the first of many for him.

As for the overall performance, we were a good back 4 plus 5 central midfielders and a kid up front. I’m not really surprised at the result; more that we hadn’t seen it happen up to now.

Let’s not get carried away; just acknowledge a good run which came to an end when our luck ran out.

We desperately need specialist, quick wingers, and I never thought I’d be so keen to see Jonas come back. But we need 3 of him, not one.

Kaz and Vukic can help, but they’re teenagers so not the answer. Guthrie is not a winger, Barton is just garbage, and Loverpants really isn’t a specialist.

And yes, I think Smith is our skipper, not Butt. Butt needs to be a sub to hold a good score for the last 20 minutes when needed; no more. He’s a great lad, but not what we need in there.

My starting line-up for Plymouth (and we have to win ‘cos I work with a load of people from Plymouth here in Devon):

    —————Harps
    Simpson – Tayls – Colo – Enrique
Lua Lua – Nolan – Guthrie – Loverpants
    ———Carroll — Ranger

Any particular reason you decided to leave Smith out of the line up Whumpie, or do you believe a captain operates better from the bench? lol. I would stick Lover up front, play zenga on the left wing, with smith and nolan in the middle and R Taylor on the right wing.

Whumpie – Journal article said that we have been papering over the cracks and last night Blackpool pulled all the wallpaper off, sounds about right to me.
The good results havent been convincing and a bit like last season, most could see it coming but once again those in charge refuse to see at it is.
Its criminal that we havent invested in the squad and the good start to the season will be wasted, the team isnt good enough and nor or the management and board and we should stop kidding ourselves.

The cracks and paper analogy is a goodun.

Anyway, my line-up, with more caffiene going in as I type…

    —————Harps
    Simpson – Tayls – Colo – Enrique
Guthrie – Nolan – Smith– Loverpants
    ———Carroll — Ranger

5-0 to the Toon with that lot! Vukic and Kaz on for Guthrie, Nolan or Loverboy – whoever’s not delivering – after 60 minutes, out on the wing. Gerrin.

Not bad whumpie, would still go with zenga on the left wing, and rTaylor on the right wing. Keep Guthrie on the bench for this one and put Lover up front with Ranger, keep Caroll for backup.

… I also reckon that scoreline could be worth a flutter at Billy Hill. Reckon we will give the Argyle a lesson this weekend.

I used to go out with a lass who papered over her crack. Her name was Anna Glipta. She was a bit stuck up to tell the truth.

hopefully Khizan can get on the scoresheet asap and kick 7 shades out of the advertising boards. Would be a fitting celebration in honour of being the first Geordie since ketsbaia, lol

Hi Punko and Ryan. I’m in DIY mode waiting for a B&Q delivery.

I ran into Ketsbaia once when he was doing some charity work in a hospital (MO the little waster could have learned something there). He could hardly speak a word of English but he was clearly a lovely bloke.

We got overrun last night. I could see what CH waqs trying to do. It just didn’t work. We desperately need a couple of forwards. The youguns are going to be knackerred shortly. Two more injuries could cause the tipping point. I’m worried.
