Andy Carroll Ready To Fire More Goals For Emily Rose

Chris Hughton and Newcastle fans are hoping that Andy Carroll, a new father,  will continue with his inspired form of the last two games.

Andy Carroll – in great form recently

Andy’s new daughter, now named Emily Rose, was just one day old when the big Geordie striker scored in his first game of the season, during last week’s 2-1 defeat at Blackpool.

And on Saturday, Andy volleyed home in great style at the Gallowgate End after 84 minutes, to ensure Newcastle got all 3 points against Plymouth.

And then right at the end he smashed the ball against the cross-bar in what would have been a sensational goal.

Carroll was rested by Hughton for the midweek Carling Cup tie at Peterborough, which of course we lost 2-0, but Chris wants a lively and energetic Carroll ready for Saturday’s game at Portman Road.

Chris said today:

“Andy will come back in,” “We made the decision to rest him at Peterborough because he’d played two full matches after a four-week spell out.”

“He’d only trained for two days before Blackpool but came in and did very well.”

“Then against Plymouth he was stronger again and that showed with a terrific performance and another deserved goal.

“But he’s on a high at the moment and everybody has that when they have their first child.

“He’s scored two in two and we hope that momentum continues because he’s a big, big player for us.”

We expect Andy to  extend his good form against second bottom of the table Ipswich who have just 4 points from their first 8 games, and 3 draws and one defeat at Portman Road.

I know Andy has his doubters on here, but I reckon he could become a great player for us. People see all the these wonder kids and have the same expectations for all other youngins. It takes years to mature into a great footballer. And most of these wonder kids are spent when most other footballers are hitting their peak. Look at Owen.

    Have a look at NUFC.com.
There is a photograph of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
There is a remarkable likeness to the unwashed dog walker of Ipswich Town !
