Chris Hughton has today called on his players to make Sir Bobby Robson proud of the and his home town club, in tomorrow night’s game between his two old English sides.
Chris Hughton – drawing on Bobby Robson inspiration
But of course both Ipswich and Newcastle fans will be drawing on the inspiration of Bobby Robson’s time at both clubs.
Hughton wants to make sure Newcastle really deliver in the televised game tomorrow night (so do we) .
Chris told the Evening Chronicle:
”It is a game he would have loved to have seen – both clubs meant so much to him.”
“Monday’s service was an emotional day for everybody, and I am sure tomorrow will be the same.”
“We have to make sure we give Sir Bobby the result I think he would have wanted.”
Hughton is expected at some time during tomorrow’s game to give Marlon Harewood his first team debut, and it’s goals that have been in short supply this season.
It would be something if Marlon could get a goal tomorrow wouldn’t it?
Chris talked about Marlon:
“We are delighted to get Marlon in. He will give us a different option.”
“If I look at what we have in the squad, we knew we had to bring in a centre-half and a centre-forward.”
“We have been able to do that, and everything else we will assess as we go along.”
The only thing that matters tomorrow is beating Ipswich Town, however we can do that, to secure all 3 points.
