Jose Unconcerned At Newcastle Problems – More Players Needed

There have been lots of problems over the last 12 months which will culminate in some decision in the Keegan vs Newcastle United tribunal on Monday, and hopefully the club will be sold shortly.

Kevin Keegan – Tribunal decision expected Monday
And we expect film rights to this potential film being red hot – because you just cannot make this stuff up.

But Jose Enrique, the Newcastle left-back,  does not worry about takeover talk or the continuing criticism of the Mike Ashley regime.

Results are all that matter to the Spanish U21 International, and that thankfully seems to be the healthy attitude of nearly all the lads this season.

Jose explained:

“All the things that are going on with the president, I have said all along that this is not a problem for the players, it’s a problem for the club.”

“All of the players here have a contract and I have three years left on mine. All I want to do is play well for the team. The president not being able to sell the club is not my problem, I can’t allow it to affect me.”

“We definitely need some players,” “We are without Shola (Ameobi) until December, we need more attackers. He is an important player.”

“We only have one striker, so we need one striker definitely and we need one winger, one midfielder and one defender.”

“We need some players, but I said that two months ago as well because too many players have left. We have a good squad. It’s a little bit small and there are too many players out. “

“The problem is, we have one or two injuries, but if we have more then we will be seriously tested. It’s a big problem.”

A clarification here thet the President is owner Mike Ashley.

Those are good words from Jose, and it’s one reason the team has done so well this season – so far.

We’ve lost two of the last three games over the last 10 days, but a win at Ipswich today will give us 22 points from a possible 27 – and we’ll be more than happy – we’ll be absolutely delighted.

Howay The Lads!!
