Newcastle And Leeds – Two Uniteds Resurgent

If you look at the English Championship and League One, you will see two famous teams at the top, who were both withing the last decade competing in the European Champions League.

And with Newcastle doing so well this season, it’s especially sweet when the so called experts said the team would struggle, and these gloom and doom merchants made sure Newcastle fans knew of Leeds amazing descent into the lower leagues.

But now not only are Newcastle resurgent, but so are Leeds, who are now top of League Division One, with 25 points from 9 games. Newcastle have 22 points from their first 9 games.

So both teams are now looking like promotion candidates.

We had some wonderful supportive comments on the blog from Leeds fans over the summer, following Newcastle’s relegation.

They were very supportive of the Tyneside club, and certainly the Leeds fans have gone through hell and high water with their team over the last few years.

But there seems a big light at the end of the tunnel – and hopefully they will soon be back where they belong – back in the Premier League with Newcastle.

The season after next perhaps?

Hope so.

Have you guys learnt nothing over the years?

As soon as you start betting on us winning anything they’ll cock it up!

I know this league is sh1te but we’ll find a way to cock it all up!

Some incredible games down the years against Leeds.

Surely now it won’t be a huge time before we are both back where we belong.
