Fabricio Coloccini hopes to start training again towards the end of the week, and be on course to return to the side for the next game at Nottingham Forest a week on Saturday.
Fabricio Coloccini – should be fit for Nottingham Forest
The Argentine center-back has been missing with a groin injury, but Hughton expects him to be back for the trip to Nottingham Forest in two weeks time, and he also expects Jose Enrique fit for that game too.
Chris said today:
“At the moment he’s on course for Forest. He’s not at the stage where he is joining training yet, but we’ll look to get him outside and back with the lads by the end of the week,”
“He’s not too far away and that is another good sign for us to be getting players back. Jose will be fine for the Forest game too, he was touch and go.”
It seems at a push that Jose could have played last Saturday, but Chris was right not to risk him, and it looks like most of our injured players will be back for the tough test at Nottingham Forest.
Only long term injured players Ameobi and Barton will not be available for that game, and that has to be good news for the club.
