Newcastle Dressing Room Is Just Fantastic

Steven Taylor has opened the lid on what it’s like in the Newcastle dressing room this season,  and it seems it’s a  180 degrees turnaround from last year.

Steven Taylor – determined to get club back to Premier League

Steven talked to the official site this afternoon:

“We always expected to be where we are now – top of the league,” “We expected no less. We have high expectations amongst ourselves as players.”

“We demand the best from each other, we’re all behind each other and we’re all encouraging each other.” “The dressing room is fantastic and for me, it’s an honor to play with those lads. They’re a great bunch, off the pitch as well as on it.”

“I believe this club will get back to the Premier League,” “I was in the team that got us relegated so I want to be part of the team that brings us back into the Premier League.”

“I know the rest of the lads feel exactly the same. We’ve got a group of players here who want to be playing for Newcastle. They wear the shirt with honour and that’s what we need.”

“I 100 per cent believe that we will get back up this season.”

Good words from Steven, and there certainly seems to be a burning desire and belief in the squad that these players can do what seemed unthinkable in the summer.

And that is to get the club straight back up to the Premier League, at the very first attempt.

Howay The Lads!!

It always gives me the collywobbles when Stevie T starts talkin’ to the press!..
…I just think it would wiser to keep shtumm until we are well & truly in the distance!..
…Most of what he says is good, but that first line
seems a bit, well let’s just say, he shoulda kept that to himself like!..
    🙂

I understand that the dressing room has a Laura Ashley theme. Although it could be a Fat Ashley sceme themed around a Greggs pie shop.

More of last season! The lads should learn to put the performance before what comes out of their mouths. Lets face, we’re only top cos Boro and West Brom have ballsed up at the same as us!

Shouldn’t have said that alright but it’s the truth it seems.

    Hope we keep it up.

Hmm ! though Laura Ashley is class, must admit the Greggs theme sounds even tastier.

All these players wanted Shearer to be appointed permanant boss, now it’s Hughton they want.

Talk about hunting with the hounds and running with the fox!

Stuart79 to be fair they couldn’t really come out and say anything else, it would come accross as disrespectful.

I think in all fairness, all the players actually want is a permanent manager.

Ed, you tart! ‘Changing rooms’ man. Dressing rooms are where Yanky blokes apply their lippy.

    Just sad.

When we lose, we are doom. (Blackpool)
We draw, we are not good enough. (QPR,Bristol)
    We won, other team’s bad. — –” (Ipswich,Cardiff,etc)

It can be only Newcastle United, you know ? Keep the faith.

Barton came across as a bit of a tosspot really! Fair enough it was probably well edited to make him look like a baddie again but to even say “I shouldn’t have said hughtons tactics were poor…….oh but they were” makes him look like a bit of a prick!!
We should have terminated his contract in summer, he has literally done nothing for this club and I’m sure his large pay packet would have done wonders being removed from the wage list!

Roll on the new regime, apart from a few clinger-oners that need to be gone were getting a good solid base for a cracking little team!
