Hughton Prepares For Each Game So Meticulously

The 3 loan players Newcastle have brought in this season, Simpson, Khizanishvili and Harewood, all look like good deals for Newcastle.

Danny Simpson – Chris has done a perfect job at Newcastle

And the first one to arrive, Danny Simpson, has worked under the the very best club manager of all time in Sir Alex Ferguson, but he has today praised the way Chris Hughton has managed Newcastle, and the detailed preparations he does for each game.

Danny talked to the Sunday Sun today:

“It’s obvious that Chris has done a perfect job,” “With all that was known and said about which managers could come here, it can’t have been easy for him.”

“But he has managed superly.” “Obviously, the fact that he has given me a chance to play regularly is brilliant, but he’s very impressive in bigger ways.”

“He is very precise in setting his targets and in his preparation for matches.” “He gives each of us information on our opposing players.”

“Some guys don’t really know much about some of the players in this league, but Chris has ensured we are fully prepared for each match.”

It’s good to hear that Chris does prepare well for each game, because each game is a possible 3 points this season, and there’s no reason at all why every game we go into, we cannot win. Wins will get us promoted this year and not draws.

That’s the goal, and we need to start winning again when the league resumes next Saturday.

Let’s hope we have our players on International duty back, and fit to go by then too.

Comments welcome.

Yeah I have been greatly impressed with chris. And if we continue on the path he has put us on I will be a very happy man. But if say we are promoted … Would I want him at the helm? Hmmm not sure about that one.

Get onto the pitch kick the ball about, score some goals and win, just how hard can it be? 😉

It can’t be hard to pick the team….with the squad size it virtually picks itself.

I have been inpressed by Hughton, there is no denying we’ve been helped by the fact other teams seem to fear us or give us a little bit too much respect. BUT, one player who you can clearly see has done well under Hughton’s reign is Smith…Theres been a couple of games this season where Smith has marked one man perfectly throughout the whole 90 minutes and from what Simpson is saying, that’s down to the manager’s preparation!

Off thread I know and Ed’s not picked up on the Sun speculating that Moat’s looking for ‘crunch talks’ with Ashley and that MA may not be ready to strike a deal.

Surely a deal of such magnitude would’ve included an agreement of intent which would give no rooom for Ashely to cahnge his mind about selling?

Whilst it is Ashley’s prerogative to sell or not but it’d be deplorable if he started playing silly beggars at this late stage!

Any chance of planning for the future, player signings etc will again be up in the air!

I just wish that Ashley’d develop an honest streak soon!
