Both Steven Taylor (hamstring) and Fabricio Coloccini (groin) are out of topnight’s game at Nottingham Forest.
Zurab Khizanishvili will now partner Danny Simpson at the heart of the Newcastle defense with Ryan Taylor and Jose Enrique occupying the full-back berths.
Since Jonas Gutierrez only arrived back from his Argentine exploits on Friday afternoon, he is named among the substitutes, but will be expected to play some part in the second half.
Peter Lovenkrands comes in on the wing, and Andy Carroll is restored to the attack alongside former Forest star Marlon Harewood.

Comment #363lots of guys slagging off stikers but they need to have chances created for them to score. all too often they were getting the ball with back to goal thirty yards out. never going to score. both are big lumps and need crosses from out wide coming into the penalty box.
Chris hughton clueless. He must players in their proper positions. Line up yesterday should have been.

Buda boom I would go with that. If you’re going to have big lads up front then R. Taylor can actually get a decent ball in, being a more advanced right side midfield. He’s not Nobby, but he’s not the worst. Sadly can’t say the same about Spidey though !

Comment #377First of all, Harewood was far better than Carroll yesterday. Harewood used his strength in an attempt to hold the ball up and create chances, whilst grinding out a few chances for himself, by himself, in the box. He should have scored from the R.Taylor free kick, that was the only criticism i had of him.
Carroll on the other hand, didnt do half as much. He’s strong heading the ball in the air yes, but there’s still major improvements to be made. He doesn’t seem the quickest lad in the world, his first touch was rotten at times aswell. Granted, he was fouled the majority of time he had his back to goal.
Also, has anyone seen Fat Cashleys comments to The Times today?..They’re ridiculous if you ask me. He sounds incredibly pathetic and childish.
