Khizanishvili Determined To Get Back To Winning Ways

Zurab Khizanishvili had a decent game in the center of Newcastle’s defense on Saturday night and he seems determined that Newcastle get back to their winning ways in tonight’s game at Scunthorpe.

Zurab Khizanishvili – determined to get back to winning ways

The 27 year-old Georgian International said today:

“I have played two away matches but they have both been very different,” “The game at Ipswich was an amazing debut; we won well, I was happy with my performance and the fans were brilliant with me and the team.”

“It was disappointing, though, to lose at Forest because we spoke before the game of how important it was to win.” “Now we need to come back from that with a win at Scunthorpe and I believe we will.”

“Our away fans can help as well because they are fantastic. But, first of all, the players have to give everything on the pitch and only that way will we get the result we want.”

We need a solid game from Zurab tonight, and hopefully out 8th clean sheet of the season.

But we also have to hope the forwards can start to score goals again – any win is OK as far as we are concerned, but anything less will be a huge disappointment tonight for Newcastle fans.

I thought he played ok on Saturday, and I would stick to the same back 4.

Simpson was to blame for the goal on Saturday having wandered off into midfield leaving smith to try to keep up with blackstock (was never going to happen)

But hopefully this will not happen again.

    1 – 2 for a toon win

We’ve had half the team speaking out about getting 3 points tonight. Do they really have that much spare time on their hands or should they be concentrating on training?

    Talk with ur feet fgs.

This arrogant approach by some players at NUFC isn’t becoming in my books, we all remember last season with all the rubbish they said on the lead up to big games and failed to deliver. It’s happening all over again.

I’m not picking on Khiz here, it’s just the latest thread. It’s the whole deal I’m sick of, from this psychotic owner down and for CH to accept the managers job full time is mindboggling, I really thought he had more sense.

Like always I want the team to play well (as a priority) and win the game but will settle for either if not both. However atleast the last 3 games we’ve produced neither!
