Good Teams Always Find A Way To Win

There’s an old adage that’s so very true – that good teams always find a way to win whatever happens in a  game.

kevin nolan again

Kevin Nolan – he does it again!

And you have to hand it to Newcastle yesterday for somehow ending up with all 3 points, when things didn’t exactly go their way.

Once again the team was outplayed by a visiting team in the first 45 minutes, but then came back strongly in the second half – sound familiar?.

1-0 down at the interval it was Andy Carroll who put the side level with a tremendous goal after 68 minutes, but then Ryan Taylor handled and Doncaster had a penalty after 75 minutes.

But Newcastle were amazingly let off the hook when Doncaster captain Martin Woods hit the worst penalty anybody can – he didn’t even force the goalkeeper Steve Harper to make a save – he drove the ball wide of the post – completely unacceptable from a Doncaster viewpoint.

And then when Khizanishvili was surprisingly sent off  after 85 minutes, for what we have no idea,Newcastle were reduced to 1o men and things looked bleak indeed with the Newcastle side still desperate for a home win.

But then on 92 minutes, after good work by Andy Carroll,  it was Kevin Nolan who guided the ball home from 20 yards to send the almost 44,000 Geordie fans wild – and all 3 points.

How they did it we’ll never be quite sure, but the lads will need to start playing these games in the first half and hopefully we’ll very soon have Coloccini, Simpson and Steven Taylor back in the defensive ranks.

A great win by the lads yesterday, although we’re still not sure how they managed it!

We still far to be ” good team” but 3 points is 3 points.

This is football, Only reserved for Newcastle Utd. Anything will be different if they killed us yesterday, you all know that.

Black and White, Great or Doom, God or Dog.
It can be only 1 choice here.

Was happy to hear Nolan score at end to put toons on top of table. We Cant afford to lose more points like last week now, just keep going now.

Since in India, there is no championship matches live, have to keep track of them on internet.

    Howay the Lads !!!!

Headline doesn’t tell the true story. At present we are not a good team we are still a collection of individuals. Every team at home and certainly away pass the ball better than us and play with a better tempo until they reach the final third. More proof also that the end has come for Zhurab, Butt and Harewood any manager worth his salt would see that these three hinder the team rather than improve it. I and 40.000 other geordies don’t have uefa coaching licences but we are a good judge of a footballer

It appears we are in a crap league with a crap team, but are at the top for now.
The club and team are a shambles, new owner is desperately needed or we could crumble, and Shearer is not the answer, we need someone capable and with experience.

Actually Ed, I’d say the more appropriate title is “Bad teams always find a way to LOSE.”
