It’s Time For Newcastle To Be United – 100%

There’s little doubt that Ashley’s decision to take the Newcastle club off the market last week was very unpopular for Newcastle fans, to say the very least.

Chris Hughton – hopes Newcastle fans will remain united

But Chris Hughton, now in one of the most difficult management jobs in football, whether he likes that or not, or even knows that or not, is hoping that the Newcastle fans will continue to stick by the team.

He talked about being united today:

“It is massively important that the club is united. Ultimately that is what everyone wants. We want a team that is doing well and a group of supporters that are behind the team.

“What would be my message to the fans that barrack Mike Ashley? It would be that the team is the most important thing.”

Well said Chris!

We’ve said this season many times that the Newcastle coaches and the players are what’s really important and not the nonsense that has been going on as our clueless owner has tried to sell the club – for a second time – and failed again.

We don’t need to let Mike (we cannot let Mike) get in the way of Newcastle’s biggest weapon against other Championship sides this season  – our phenomenal fan support – both home and away.

We’ve heard the talk about boycotting Mike’s Sports Direct or Newcastle – but boycotting the club is just about the worst thing could do.

Mike could close down all his stores in Newcastle and the surrounding area, and there wouldn’t be a blimp on his revenue – not a blimp.

And on boycotting the club – that will not harm Ashley at all.

He has enough money of his own – and is trying to run the club as a business, so if that business declines by the gates decreasing – he’ll simply cut back on things – like buying players.  After all – what does he care?

That’s just business 101 – so we’d be cutting our own throats – so to speak if we tried to boycott our famous club.

No – we’ve  had enough of all this demonstration stuff last year – and look where we ended up – in the second division.

Our direction is that we need to support Chris – because he’s our manager – and support the team – all at 100%.

And even though Ashley is still the owner – we cannot let him him – either directly or indirectly – get in the way of promotion this season.

And we gave no animosity towards those that want to boycott Ashley or the club, because we know thery are just trying to do what’s best for Newcastle United – we know that.

But  job number one is  promotion this season, in case anybody was thinking differently.

a boycott will only make Ashley determined to delay the sale in future. it’s better just to focus on getting promoted by whatever means there is now.. AND THAT IS WITH ASHLEY AS OWNER AND HUGHTON AS MANAGER. if we “behave well”, who knows Ashley will soften his stance a bit and spend some serious money in January.

Ed – we didn’t go down because of a demonstration before one match – we went down because Ashley made a series of shocking decisions.

Ed, I’m sorry, but I totally disagree with your reasoning here. As long as we turn up in droves every week, we make him money by the shed load. The more we turn up, the less it costs him out of his companies profits to keep NUFC – which non of us want.

To FCB, the toon is nothing more than a profit center that costs him little to have his jolly’s and play at being “one of the lads.” When he bought the club, he said he was happy if it cost him £20 million a year, which is about what its at now.

If we stopped blindly supporting him buy paying money for tickets, food, drink, merchandise etc, how long before his income drops and his costs escalate to being uncomfortable for him?? FCB is in a financial dilema at the moment – fraud allegations, insider trading and price fixing allegations are all hurting him.

If we added to his problems by NOT going to the Sid James’Park every game, he would soon have a HUGE incentive to get rid of his toy because he just wouldnt want the additional burdon on his purse.

If the price we pay for getting rid of FCB is NOT getting promotion this year – so be it. We will not be relegated but we could well be without the OAF in charge and that is also a price well worth paying in the long run.

You Fat Cockney Barsteward, get out of our club.

Sorry CH I know your role is to pacify and distract the fans while they are being raped, lied to and treat like MUGS….Ashley needs to be removed then we will find some real trust and unity.

If anyone thinks realistically we are getting promoted this season you really are having a laugh.

utd 11 – Exactly. The demonstration before the Hull match was only a 9-day wonder then everyone settled back into their normal routines and Ashley is laughing his head off at the lot of us.

Sorry Hughton (although I hope you can achieve success) , you crossed the line and joined the Ashley camp when you agreed to your change in status. You know and we know that you are just a puppet manager and you will sing to your master’s tune.

    Absolute Bull…..

There is a demo arranged on Saturday.

It’s so easy for people outside of Newcastle to call the shots and tell it how it is I suppose and obviously they have their fingers on the pulse and are aware of the unrest and the fact we’re sick to death of this owner.

That will not change. 100% behind the club and it’s future not neccesarily the current team and ownership!

chestnut did you really write that? if we ‘behave ourselves’??? grow some balls man. Just when I think I can’t get any angrier I come onto the blog and read drivel like that.

You need to get your head sorted sonna. Ashley is killing this club and quite frankly us getting promoted this season is the least of our worries with this charva in charge.

As far as the headline Ed I think the fans are finally starting to unite. United in getting the fat sack of crap out of our club.

“What is a club in any case? Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it. It’s not the television contracts, get out clauses or the marketing departments or executive boxes. It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.” Sir Bobby Robson RIP.
