One thing that narked Keegan which hasnt been mentioned much is the sale of Milner. At the time Milner was our best player but the club refused to offer him a new contract he was on £20-25k a week while most of the first team was on at least 40k+ and not playing half as well. So you could see his point.

£12m was good value and milner did hand in a transfer request, but only because he wasnt offered a new deal after “3 times” requesting so and being turned down on each occasion by “Denis Wise”.

The stadium naming rights is free advertising for Sports Direct at the minute. No doubt there’ll be a wealth of Companies looking to be the sponsor. It wont seem a good opportunity at first glance, but any company will have their name splashed around Newspapers & TV due to the fall out. The only thing worse than being talked about in a negative light is not being talked about at all.

I’m a big Kevin Keegan supporter.

In August/September 2008 we played football like we never had under Roeder or Allardyce.

It was fluid and organised. The potential was there for all to see.

Just think if Ashley had given Keegan the cash that he’s now having to use to plug up the holes in NUFC’s finances due to the relegation.

The relegation caused by Ashley constructively dismissing Kevin Keegan and lying to the press and us the fans.

It is criminal if you think what position we could now be in now with Keegan at the helm for his second full season.

Time for a major gamble to right a major wrong Mr Ashley.

It’s going to take at least £100 million for him to right his wrongs. Which to be honest is what he should do if he has any honour.
