Jonas 18 if Gutierrez is so great whats he doing playing in the Championship with a second rate side ? he’s scored 1 goal in 45 outings and some of you think hes all that,and by the way *Peterborough* are bottom of the championship ….muppet

He has potential and ability to be first-class winger but he still cannot show it all his best yet. I pretty sure he’ll be better and better from now on.

errrrr, he’s played one good game in 45 – that in no way makes him anything more than ordinary. He usually runs round like a headless chicken, is unable to cross a ball and invariably gives it to the oposition!!

Yes, it was a well taken goal against a crap team. When he does it regularly, against committed oposition, THEN you can call him something better than average. Jury is still out and will be for a while yet.

Jonas is a cracking player and will only get better with a good manager. I can remember 18. Months ago the same tripe been said about another winger we had, he went to a better club and is developing into a good England international. Imagine if we’d be in the prem with these two wingers causing trouble to nearly every team.

Nice to see we are never happy till we condemn a player and they leave and do well else where.

jonas18 – well said! some people must always slate flare players and especially love to dismiss all foreign players as lazy mercenary hippies who just think about their hair lol. Jonas and colo have been given a place in the argentine squad but will be at the top this season so as to make the starting eleven. Gutierrez has his place pretty well secured in the starting 11 but he has alot of players on is back so games like this will be closely followed by argentina and maradona

Expect his performance s to get better now seeing as he has scored this first goal however saying that one of his best games he has ever played for us was that of his debut against man utd on the opening game last year

what second rate players do you see running half the length of the pitch past players and scoring and having already been guaranteed a place in Argentina’s World Cup squad at South Africa?

Even in the Premier League he was running past and beating players for fun and winning man of the match performances.

Tell me what second rate player wins Man of the Match against Man Utd?

What 2nd rate player scores against 2006 World Cup Finalists France for Argentina?

The two of you are negative and don’t know how good a player he really is, and great he can be if he works hard at adding goals to his game as well as improving his crosses in the air.

He needs to improve on his goalscoring and crossing, but is that any reason to get rid of a player that can beat players with the ball at his feet and score a goal like he did last night?

BTW anyone notice that he was playing quite centrally and having a really good game albeit for 20 mins before injury forced him off?

What 2nd rate players have you seen in the Championship and Premier League run from half way with the ball, beating players and scoring?

Ronaldo, Henry are the only to I can think of.

Watch the below video, example after example after example Jonas running past players with the ball in the Premier League. He is NO 2nd rate player! Now that he has got his first goal, hopefully his confidence is boosted and more goals will follow.

maradona has stated many times that jonas was one of his favourite players. i also remember at the start of last season upto christmas him being our MOTM and of the season upto then, then the him along with the rest of the squad all hit new records of bad play.
