Danny Simpson And Ryan Taylor Both Miss Palace Game

Danny Simpson will miss Wednesday’s Championship game with Crystal Palace because of a slight ankle injury.

Danny Simpson – out for the next two games

And with Ryan Taylor being sent off on Saturday, our two right backs are out of Wednesday night’s game, so who plays right-back against Crystal Palace is anybody’s guess.

Steven Taylor is good in that position, but of course he is out with a still undiagnosed knee injury.

The 23-year-old Simpson, will also miss the game at Leicester City, but there is hope he can come back for the visit of Cardiff City a week on Friday.

This is a bad time to be getting so many injuries, that’s for sure.

Newcastle manager talked about Danny’s injury today

“Danny will probably miss the next couple of games but we’re certainly hopeful that he’ll be OK for the Cardiff game.”

We have no idea who will play at right back.

Young James Tavernier played well in his one first team appearance in the Carlin Cup last year, and we suppose Ben Tozer or even Danny Guthrie could also play there.

Any thoughts on who may play right back on Wednesday night?

We’ll pass them on to Chris. 😀

Comments and ideas welcome.

I really hope that at the end of the season, we’re not slamming MA for his failure to act decisively in the transfer market……… yet again!

Something has to be done quickly or we may begin to struggle in this league.

Good job the transfer window’s open, bad news we have Ashley as owner.

Hey Ed, don’t forget that Jonas plays RB for Argentina! : )

That may disrupt Warnock’s planned strategy, which was probably to nullify our left hand side- since all our attacking impetuous seems to come from there these days.

Hopefully this will turn out to be good timing: proof to back up CH’s arguments to Ashley to complete some signings. If it had happened a week later, we’d be in even more trouble.

But let’s not panic – by comparison it looks bad, but to be honest we’re only feeling it because we’ve been good for injuries all season. Last year the treatment room had more bodies in it than the showers most days…

    Geordiedoonsooth and others panicking:

I’m no fan of Ashley, but who says he’s doing nothing? Only one signing so far, but plenty going on beyond what we’ve seen in previous windows. Can’t blame people for being pessimistic based on past performance, but keep a lid on it, eh?

We’re in nothing like the state we’ve been in during previous windows and if we get a couple mode bodies in this week (loans are fine), job done.
