Dutch Boy Delighted To Be On Tyneside

Former PSV youngster Patrick van Aanholt says he cannot wait to get started at Newcastle.

Patrick van Aanholt – delighted to be at Newcastle

Patrick has talked to the Newcastle official site today:

“I only found very late on Thursday night and came straight up to Newcastle on Friday morning,”

“It all happened very quickly but it is a fantastic opportunity and I can’t wait.”

“At first when I got the call I thought it must be a joke, but then I realized the left-back Jose Enrique was injured during the week.”

“This is a fantastic opportunity for me to play game with a good team and some very good players.”

“It’s a very big club and I’m very happy to be here.” “It’s a chance to get more experience whilst also helping the team stay at the top of the league.”

We expect Patrick to start at left-back today at Leicester, since he’s only here a month, and Chris will want to get him bedded in quickly.

If he does well, Patrick may become a longer term target of the club – certainly his credentials suggest he could be a great player in the making, and the lad played extremely well in his 20 games for Coventry City this season.
