Moses Signs For Wigan

News is just coming in on both Sky Sports and the BBC that Victor Moses has indeed signed for Wigan Athletic.

Victor Moses – has just signed for Wigan

It’s being reported that the 19 year-old up and coming, Nigerian born player has signed a three and a half year deal at the Lancashire club. This is apparently coming directly from his agent.

The fee is debatable as it ranges anywhere from £2M to £3M, but we know it’s more than what Newcastle were willing to offer.

Oh well – the chance of a very good player bites the dust once again.

And also reports today that Sunderland are after our former right-back Habib Beye, who cannot get a first team starting position at Aston Villa, since his transfer there from Newcastle last summer.

Comments welcome.

    Well done Moses you must have plenty of ambition singing for Wigan. Wigan only signed him to get one over on Ashley and guess what Ashley let it happen. Wigans chairman is a total to22 pot and we have a greedy beer guzzling loser. Actually Wigan look quite a side now with N’Zogbia and Moses.

    We lost out to a premier league side, this will happen from now on we have to stop thinking we are bigger than what we are. The fact we were in for him shows that mike ashley did try to sign him and that hughton is goin forthe right players, just for once look at the bright side of the situation instead of going in to depth on the negitives

    He’ll probably fail miserably then we’ll sign him when no one wants him in a couple of seasons time

    Anyone who WANTS to sign for Wigan does not deserve to be at Newcastle. We want players who want us. Don’t mourn his loss. Jeez!

    ashley was never going to pay 2.5million for anyone, and even if he did it would only be as an investment to sell on , the man will never change, im sick of every one saying we have had a good transfer window, left back on a 1 month trial , centre half on a 6 month loan , centre half signed for around 1 million , a right back for about 500 k and a winger for around 1 million, 2.5million net spend, now how much was sold in the summer ? did the fat man not say he was immediattly putting 20 million back in the clubs coffers when he pulled them off the market ? he is doing as little as possible as always .
    we could of signed beckford and moses and would of still been in a decent financial posistion and with more chance of going up, if he had just went in with half decent offers in stead of pissing about waiting for another club to get in first, ( which is what he wants,so he can say that he tried ), we are far from sure of going up , forest and west brom are better teams than us , how many games this season have we actually deserved to win ? 5-6 at the most that luck wont last forever, and this window was the chance to take the luck away from it , but once again he has failed to deliver ,
    is it just me who is seeing this ?

    How many times are we going to lose out. Hughton may be going for the right players but he cannot attract them to the club. If you are in a positive mood after watching that crap yesterday then good on ya but i am not. We are lacking in a decent striker and width aswell as creativity. If we get promotion we will get tonked every week with the sh1te we have and Ashley is not prepared to spend even if we get promotion, hopefully by the time we gain promotion all being well Ashley will be locked up with the keys thrown away.

    LMAO, ashley wallet cobwebs…. You speak like you know ashley what a prat… why would any1 want to spend 20 million on players not gd enough for the premiership coz thats who we can attract. your the kind of person who would like to see newcastle spend stupid money and bring big egos what could disrupt the whole squad and inturn put the club back into a financial mess, just a question who would you have signed this window. for me the signings have been very good spent hardly anymoney yet we have put in 5 or 6 decent players in to our squad which was already very good for this league…. nd yes it is just you who is seeing this

    I’m dreading next season……….

    We will either be in the PL, fighting a relegation fight, with our squad of 2 million ‘star’ signings

    or

    we’ll fail to get promoted and be stuck in this dreadful league.

    Neither is a prospect i’m looking forward to seeing.

    My only hope is Ashley sells.

    Toon – Who said mike wont spend in the summer and who said hughton is happy to take the players he has now to the prem, if he does then we will get relegated but he wont that is a fact, hughton is building a team to win this league he isnt planning so far ahead to get in premiership players on stupid wages when were not even garanteed promotion, the decision he makes now are for this season only. I was not happy with what happend yday but there are plenty of reason that performance happend fatigue from wednesday and injuries, in the last two games we have had 7 or 8 different defenders and not conceded sooo all i am sayin look at the positives of playing games 3-4 days after each other

    People need to relax.

    We made an official bid that was larger than other bids on the table. On Friday we bid 2 million pounds and indications were we had the deal nearly over the line. His agent comes out and says he hopes for Premier League teams make a bid.

    On Saturday, one did, in Wigan. Within a blink of an eye lid, the lads agent has him at Wigan and by Sunday, deal complete.

    I have no doubt Ashley and Hughton were keen and confident of getting the deal done, his agent though, like most agents was shortsighted and took the Premier League cash.

    This transfer window has us getting in an outstanding Mike Williamson who has come in and looked absolute class. He was class for Watford in this division and is looking the same for us. Then we pulled a shock and stole Routledge from Boro’s grasp and he is exactly what was needed, an attacking, quick, creative right winger. Hughton just needs to play the right formation and we are the best team in this division comfortably.

    HARPER

    SIMPSON WILLIAMSON COLOCCINI ENRIQUE

    ROUTLEDGE BARTON SMITH GUTIEREZZ

    CARROLL LOVENKRANDS

    Easily the best team in the division. Have some faith.

    The sad truth is we can’t compete in the premiership with the team we’ve got.

    Signing the likes of Routledge, Williamson ect will do a job for now. But for the premiership we need true quality not average squad players.

    The money from the milner given and n’zogbia does not need to be spent right now, we have thu players wat will take us up, nd is you rekon we should have spent it in january last year then we did try, bids for michael johnson, miguel veloso and kerian richardson aswell as signing kevin nolan, any any1 rekon if we get ashley we will have another season of of strugling due to the new chairmen probs wantin a new manager who will want a whole new backroom staff and will want his own players, a dnt get it you call for stability and as soon as we are as stable you want new owners and disrupt the whole club again

    Granted we have an excellent defence in this league but as for midfielders and striker we are sadly lacking. Guthrie has been terrible this season but he has been out of position. Butt is finished, Nolan i believe has had his head turned with recent transfer rumours. Guti is a good player but he lacks in the last third and he cannot hit a barn door. Routledge is fast and quite tricky i look foward to seing more of him. Up front we have Ameobi the least said the better and we have Carroll who was awful yesterday he can be good but just isn’t consistant enough. Ranger is still a young lad and needs more time and guidence. We need a striker, another fast winger who can get to the by line and whip balls in BEATING THE FIRST MAN and we need a silky midfielder who will create for us. We had all of this but Ashley sold it all to the highest bidder lol.

    Let’s not get too depressed just yet. We were missing Simpson, Tayls and Jose yesterday in defence alone; not to mention Jonas who really gives the opposition in this league something to think about. We will learn to use Routledge’s pace and Carroll and Ranger will only improve (which can’t be said for Shola and Lovenpants). No, plenty of time to get worried and/or depressed in May.

    Toon – I defo agree with what you said on butt, ameobi and to an extent nolan but i stil think he has been one of best players this season just dropped his form due to the fact he has stopped playing behing the striker, i think the iminent return of barton and the recent form of lovenkrands is more than enough, and i think jonas recently has been amazing in this league gettin assists and man of the matches, for me i think we do need a little striker to go with carrol but if not i rekon we will still win games with who we have

    I believe in what MA is doing the administration is in the right place but in CH is see a good and sensible man he knows the situation we are in. we are broke if u dont see that.

    We will win games with what we have but we will have to grind out results like we have for most of the season. In the PL looking (ahead again) our team as it stands will get mauled week in week out. I just don’t hold any hope in Ashley bringing in good players if we were to get promotion.

    Harper = Premiership all the way
    Krul = up and coming star (Ashley may sell him)
    Simpson = Good in the CC not sure in the PL.
    R.Taylor = CC at best.
    S.Taylor = Future England CB can we keep him?
    Colo = Failed to impress in the PL is CC his level
    Williamson = Excellent atm not sure PL class.
    Kadar = Future prospect to soon to judge.
    Enrique = Awesome atm but is he PL class?
    Routledge = Fast, tricky, but is he PL class?
    Butt = Game over
    Nolan = Premiership all the way poor of late.
    Guthrie = Very poor season but out of pos.
    Jonas = Excellent in this div lacks in goals.
    Barton = Seen more boxing than football.
    Smith = Proven PL quality but cannot score.
    Ameobi = Injury prone CC at best.
    Carroll = Inconsistant but can be excellent
    Ranger = Good up and coming player.

    Lets hope our faith works out lol CH is doing a amazing job, when you think of what he came into and with no experiance in being a full time manager, the fact he has us where we are and the financial position getting beter and he even has an eye for a good player, Routledge, Williamson and that chelsea left back Haway thu lads 😀

    TOON – You are right lol saying we go in the prem and use the team we have now we would struggle and that is a understatement, although i still think we would fight harder than the squad we had last year did it wou;d be in vain, my opinion lies in the hope we get a squad good enough to win the challenge in hand and if we do that make the step up to the prem by signing 7-8 players who are good enough at prem lvl and have that same attitude as the players we have now, bar shola 😀

    Harper = Premier class
    Krul = potentially world class
    Simpson =not premier class
    R.Taylor = very poor def, not prem class
    S.Taylor = overated, caught out of position too much in prem.
    Colo = took time to settle, top player, always had faith in him
    Williamson = championship player, lacks pace
    Kadar = awesome prospect
    Enrique = premier class, excellent left back
    Routledge = Fast, tricky, and prem class if given run in side
    Butt = finished 2 years ago
    Nolan = good squad player
    Guthrie = as above
    Jonas = good player, definately premier class
    Barton = still have faith in him, great passer and work rate (when fit)
    Smith = not prem class
    Ameobi = 1st player i would sell, useless and injury prone
    Carroll = Inconsistant but can be excellent
    Ranger = Good up and coming player.

    CH is doing an excellent job but his tactical noose yesterday was absolutely abysmal. He has Guthrie running the left wing when clearly he is no winger and has Guti on the bench, he takes off Smith and on comes Ranger instead of bringing off Guthrie and putting Jonas on the left and bring Ranger on for Carroll. Not rocket science by any stretch of the imagination.

    I can’t agree will die for the toon army,

    What I see is a little different, yes Ashley wants a succesful business but he has to run an extreemely well followed football club. I don’t expect £millions to be spent and I like the idea that the club is on a level financial footing

    however, we’ve been riding our luck all season, we’ve added some much needed bodies but will it be enough is the question and maybe someone else will come in before the window closes tomorrow.

    Ashley is an evil man, a liar and who knows what else….. Hughton still has alot to prove and so do the players.

    Maybe some of the players should be shown some vids of last years games to remind them of how rubbish they were and becoming again and show them what they’re fighting for this season…. PROMOTION.
