It’s Time For A Spiderman Goal Tomorrow Night

After a couple of  poor performances in a row by the Newcastle side, we are all looking forward to a good display tomorrow night against Coventry City.

Will this man score tomorrow night?

Maybe Newcastle will even be in top form, as they were in their last home game, when the team blasted Cardiff City out of the water in the first 15 minutes and were 3 goals up.

But if that does indeed happen tomorrow night, then Saturday’s game becomes important,  because we must keep up that good form against Preston, and not follow a great performance with a woeful one – which we’ve done too many times lately.

Consistency starts to be important throughout the rest of this season.

While Jose Enrique will still be out tomorrow night, Argentine  Jonas Gutierrez will be back on the left wing, and we hope to see some of Jonas’ mazy runs, as he challenges the Coventry City defense.

Newcastle manager Chris Hughton has acknowledged today that Jonas’ return will be a significant boost, and hey, will we see that famed spider mask tomorrow night – hope so.

Chris Hughton talked about Gutierrez today:

“He will be back and he is a big player for us.”\

“For the majority of the season he has been part of things and the left flank, with him and Jose, has been exciting to watch,”

And it’s been a while since we saw a goal from Jonas, and we have never ever seen that spiderman mask come out yet.

Tomorrow night would be a great time for Jonas to score his second goal of the season, and hope he has that mask ready on his person – somewhere.

After a couple of poor performances, tomorrow night is another important game for Newcastle and we just have to try to get back on a winning run.

The Newcastle crowd will also be important, and we hope it’s a big one, because the players need that extra support as they try to end a poor streak of both form and results.

Comments very welcome.

As much as Jonas is by far our best player, he couldn’t score in a brothel with a diamond studded nob. I just wish he produced more clear cut chances from all of his hard work, because far too often there is no end product. Lets remember he is gonna be playing in th eworld cup in summer, he SHOULD be murdering the likes of Joe bloggs in this league, so its nowt unusual.

Not confident about tomorrow. I expect Hughton to go safety first and revert to a 5 man midfield to accommodate Nolan and Guthrie instead of going at Coventry. You can see the confidence slipping away.

I know we’re top of the league and should be positive but this is NUFC after all. Come on Chris give us something to positive about.

On paper we should walk this game, but CH has no plan B, and the rest of the division has sussed that. Come on CH, talk to the boys and find out what else they can do, no more of this 5 man midfield malarkey, go long ball ffs if it works!
