If We Keep Winning They Can’t Catch Us

Danny Guthrie had a good game on Wednesday night, and he provided some free flowing play in the center of the park for the Newcastle team.

Danny Guthrie – played well Wednesday

With Newcastle now top of the league and essentially 6 points clear of 3rd placed Nottingham Forest, because of Newcastle’s better goal difference, then if the lads keep winning promotion will be ours before the final 15 games are completed.

That would be good.

Danny talked about that too this morning:

“We’re the ones in pole position and if we go out and do our job we’ll be fine. We’ll always have an eye on their results, but we know our destiny is in our own hands.”

“If we keep winning they can’t catch us, it’s as simple as that. It’s all about us.”

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves and we have to take just one game at a time.

That continues tomorrow against Preston North End at home, where anything other than a win will be a disappointment for Newcastle’s famous fans.

    Hope ur right G.

Win again tomorrow and other teams will start to worry about playing here and will be like rabbits caught in a head light! We’ve only dropped 8 points all season at home……..
