New boy Mike Williamson has been delighted with the way the Newcastle squad has supported him, since he arrived on Tyneside last month.
Mike Williamson – settled down well on Tyneside
Not only have the Newcastle players helped Mike, but the Stoke-born player has said the Geordie fans have also been very warm and helpful to him.
Well that’s because he looks a good player. 😀
Mike talked to the Newcastle Journal this morning:
“Coming into a team that is doing really well can be difficult sometimes but I have settled in quite well,” “The boys have been fantastic to me personally, just like they have when I have played on the pitch, it’s been easy.”
“There might have been suggestions about the dressing room in the past, but if people used to say it was difficult for new players to settle in then it is definitely not the case this season.”
“I could not have found it easier. I’m a million miles away from where I was geographically, but the boys have all been top lads. I could not be happier.”
“The people up here are really nice and warm towards me. I haven’t had chance to have a good look around yet, there’s been no sight-seeing because the games have been coming thick and fast.”
“It will be nice when I can, but at the moment it’s about putting your feet up when you can. I have an apartment in Newcastle, we have a Saturday-to-Saturday week coming up and then I might try to get out and see a few things.”
This boy can become as top player at Newcastle and if we do get promoted it will be interesting to see how Mike fares in the Premier League.
We think the lad will do very well – but what do you think?
