Newcastle United have the 5th best home attendance in English football this season, and the club is in the second tier – amazing.
And to reward Newcastle’s wonderful supporters the club have today made a gesture to allow renewals of season tickets at current prices – at least for a while.
And if Newcastle do get promoted then the fans will have paid last year’s prices for the Premier League season coming up.
Newcastle United manager Chris Hughton said:
“It’s fantastic that our supporters are being given the opportunity to renew their season tickets for next season at 2009/10 prices.”
“Their support this season, home and away, has been absolutely phenomenal and this is due reward for that.”
Newcastle United Head of Customer Operations Simon Esland said:
“We believe we have put together an excellent and affordable package for all our supporters for the 2010/11 season which we dearly hope will be back in the Premier League.”
“We’re particularly pleased to be increasing the number of family area seats which demonstrates our on-going commitment to our young fans.”
Early Bird prices will be available through the end of this month – 31st March.
However the club has said that prices will be increased on 1st April for all remaining season ticket holders and for new season ticket sales.
The Newcastle club has the following ways to renew a season ticket:
1) Online – www.nufc.co.uk – visit the Online Box Office 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
2) By telephone – call 0844 372 1892 between 9am – 5.30pm Monday – Friday and 9am – 3pm Saturdays.
3) By mail – complete the application form in your renewal pack and return to the Box Office in the pre-paid envelope
It’s an excellent gesture to reward Newcastle’s terrific fans, because the team wouldn’t be where they are now without the unbelievable support the fans have given the team this season.

Comment #2Twist or stick, eh? For the faint hearted the Forest game on the 29th should be the Prem clincher in all but lingering mathematical niceties. So you still have a couple of days to get in there, if there’s any left….

BUT
Am I being paranoid or is this a way for Ashley et al to make more cash out of us before he sells up?

I think you’re getting a bit ahead of yourself there.
